Very touching video. I wondered when I saw it if the professor had paid for his scholarship. Teachers like this are very rare. I had but one in my high school days and I always felt blessed. We actually became friends after I graduated and we would occasionally share a letter though I never returned to the town where I had gone to school. But 35 years later I called him and went for a visit. I met his family and he met mine and at the end of the night as we were saying our goodbyes he pulled from his jacket pocket an old, well-worn Parker fountain pen that I had given him on my graduation night. It almost brought tears to my eyes and I appreciated him even more knowing that he had truly liked and respected me.
Yes Charles, the prof did pay for the scholarship himself. The teacher like yours and this prof indeed are very rare and this is based on a true story. FYI. to donate your body to medical schools is a common practice in Thailand as this is the last benevolent deed you can do in this life.
I'm lucky my wife translated for me, this is a great story of medical doctors & teachers who donate their body to the schools after their time is done.

Even though I don't understand Thai language but I love to watch Thai series. Thanks for the lovely and motivational videos.
Aunque no es mi idioma original... el video está tan bien hecho que no requiere de traducción. Ojalá existan much@s más docentes de ese tipo en todo el mundo.
Narrator: “Next 100 years, every day, the sun is still set and rises. We must also move forward. Use the knowledge we have for other people.” This is the phrase that our teacher has always told us. Teacher: Oh.. Doctor Nop. Nop: Hello teacher. How is your condition? Teacher: I think I’m alright. Nop: But the lab is… Teacher: I’m a doctor just like you. I want to come home and write exam questions for my student. Nop: Okay. Okay. Teacher: I’ll go to the toilet. Teacher: Tendo achilles is ruptured. Kaew: As expected of the anatomy teacher. Nurse: Sorry doctors. Time is up. Teacher: Okay. Kaew: Take a good rest, teacher. Wit: We’re leaving, teacher. Everyone: Get well soon, teacher!! Teacher: Student! Student! The anatomy room is up here! Teacher: Today is the first day that you have to study the anatomy by the bodies of the donators. Teacher: Can you find it? Nop: I’m not sure, teacher. Is this the cecum? Butcher: What are you gonna use it for? Teacher: I’m gonna use it for teaching. Teacher: It is divided into 2 groups that are smooth muscle and striated muscle. Teacher: Last night, where are you going? Teacher: Your test result is not good. Do you have any problem? Niti: Ah.. Where is Nop? Kaew: Ah.. I don’t know. Ploy: It’s about 1 PM!! Teacher: Niti! Where is Nop? Teacher: Nop, why didn’t you go to school? Didn’t you say you wanted to be a doctor and help the others? Nop: Me? In this state, to help the others? I almost can’t help myself. I don’t have any parents. Even if I can be a doctor, there is no one who is proud of me!! Teacher: “I will proud of you!!!” Tomorrow, you have a class. Narrator: It’s a long time that we hear other people describe the teacher as a taxi-boat. In fact, it’s more than that. Wit: How is it, Nop? Nop: Hey!!!!! Narrator: Teachers don’t only ride us(student) to the destination but also pull us up when we fell. Teacher: Next to the kidney, there is a ureter. Narrator: Remind us so that we walk on the right way. Teacher: First, we have to know its meaning. Lingula means a tongue. Everyone: Hahahahaha… Teacher: Ah… The bike is gone. I’m walking home. Narrator: And teach the virtue of “giving” by doing and being a role model. Doctor: From the auscultation, there is a crepitation in right lung more than left lung. Nop: Teacher! Teacher! …….. Nop: I get the scholarship!? I get the scholarship? Thank you, teacher. Nop: Me? In this state, to help the others? I almost can’t help myself. I don’t have any parents. Even if I can be a doctor, there is no one who is proud of me!! Teacher: “I will proud of you!!!” Teacher: Lingula means a tongue. Nurse: Doctor… Nop: Thank you. What the teacher wrote: “Nop, when you get this letter I may be gone and this can ensure me that the first place that the dead is going is someone’s memories. Whether they will good or bad memories are up to what we have done when we are alive. The entire life, there are always people asking me that “I’m a doctor but why become a teacher?” Actually, teacher and doctor have one thing in common: that is using the knowledge we have to “treat (cure)” the others. Teacher treats by giving intelligence and doctor treats by medication. When we see the person we treat get better, we are also happy. This is the reason why I’m a teacher for my entire life…and even if I’m died, I want to continue being a teacher. I leave it to you, Nop.” Niti: Show respect to the donators.
