Area 6 was, without question, THE BEST LEVEL in the game. It's one of the few where you actually feel like your teammates are, well, your teammates. They actually help you, ROB has the Great Fox help out, there's enemies everywhere (quite possibly the most of any level in the game), the enemies grow increasingly terrified and panicky the farther you get, and the music is amazing.

It's funny because you actually get transmissions from Andoss in this level as opposed to way you're coming in from the right he doesn't transmit to you until you're actually on planet venom. I always stay arised reason behind that is because when you're coming in through area 6 he's actually getting nervous because you're going to face off against the real Andross as opposed to when you come in from the right you're facing off against a robot duplicate.

I liked Zoness for the same reasons, because there your teammates helped like they should've, and the boss of the stage is so fun. It also gives you a lot of bombs for Sector Z, if you keep grinding bombs in Zoness lmao. And, the music on the level was probably the best music in the entire franchise, up there with Corneria from Starfox, another beautiful piece *and god knows you need the bombs from zoness for Sector Z*

The music thundering in your ear as you storm the heart of the enemy's defenses, as they throw everything they have in an increasingly desperate attempt to stop you, and you tear through it all without breaking stride.

I suspect that the translators at Nintendo hadn't brushed up on their Aeronautical terminology, as an "Air Defense Zone" only really applies to in-atmosphere anti-air defenses (surface-to-air AAA, SAMs, and airborne interceptor fighters). All three of these defensive weapons/vehicle types have a maximum service ceiling where they stop being effective/useful, well within the atmosphere of the planet. The proper term for Area 6 would be "Aerospace Defense Zone/Sector" or "Orbital Defense Zone/Sector". Both Aerospace and Orbital refer to not just the area around a planet that includes its atmosphere, but the exosphere beyond it, which you can tell the Star Fox Team spends 99% of this level in, as you see Venom first from a far distance, gradually growing larger as you approach it.

I love boosting through this level, feels like infiltrating the enemy base & going in before they can form a defensive wall... especially with the enemy transmissions showing them panicking more & more as you keep breaking through their defense lines... and the boss fight of this stage.... terrifyingly difficult! Feels like fighting an advanced, made-for-combat version of a death star!

Best level and best music. Area 6 provides the best level of challenge, teammate assistance, and there are a ton of enemies to kill along with Great Fox delivering some timely hits on the enemy armada to bust through the base and get to Andross's homeworld.

I used to play Star Fox 64 many years ago, and Peppy got killed by missiles as well as friendly fire, but it was accidentally as I trying to shoot down numerous enemies on the screen, but sometimes Peppy get caught by the crossfire which causes some damage to Peppy's ship. I also need a medal in Area 6, but not only do I need 1 or 2 more points to get a medal, but I also lost Peppy in Area 6 to get a score of 298 or 299 points to complete Area 6. In order to get a hard medal in Area 6, I need to score of 300 or more points and have Peppy, Slippy, and Falco alive in this level. At least I just save Slippy near the end of this level from the butterfly shaped fighter who is chasing Slippy from the right side of the screen. Slippy can't defend himself like Falco does. When you hear Slippy quoted, "Venom's right there!" Use the booster to speed up and go after the butterfly shaped fighter who is chasing Slippy by either using Z-target and locked on to that enemy who is chasing Slippy and blow it away, or using one of the bomb to destroy that enemy. Remember bombs does destroy all enemies that is appeared on the screen for a mass of points, but it will not damage the allies' ship. Slippy is save by using either of these techniques. The bad news: When entering Venom 2 from Area 6, Fox will have to make a U-turn after letting Falco and Slippy pass you and then do most damage on each of the Star Wolf Team. At least I shot down Andrew and Leo from the level's start and at least Slippy and Falco are safe, but Fox will have to worry about taking care of Pigma and Wolf, since Peppy is absent in Venom 2. If Wolf is behind Fox, use a somersault to loop around and Wolf is afront of Fox and a chance of shooting down Wolf, and do the same thing to Pigma without taking too much damage to score 51 each for a total of 204 points, and then take Andross for a 23 (or 24 points) to a total of 227 (or 228 points) in Venom 2 if you successfully defeat Andross. But Fox's father, James McCloud will guide Fox out of Venom by using 6 different paths in random. If Fox made it out of Venom, Slippy: "Way to go Fox!", and Falco: "That's our leader.", And it does happen a lot when I used to play Star Fox 64, but not all the time. I do get a medal in Venom 2 by scoring 207, 227, or even 228 points when Peppy, Slippy, and Falco are present on the last level when finishing the game.

The best score you can get on Venom 2 is 227. Hit+50 for each downed Star Wolf member, hit+5 for each of Andross' eyes, and hit+10 for the brain

Area six is the other way to Venom after defeating the enemy ship and fighting star wolf and his team you’re dealing with the real Andross and his brain he blew himself trying to take fox with him

I love that instead of contending with a moon-sized gravity well satellite (Bolse), Team Starfox decide to cut right through the middle of Andross' fleet. Aggressive gameplay is rewarded with aggressive strategy 😁
