When uncle Crinacle said he listened to the feedback on the Zero 1 and added MORE BASS, he meant it. For a 25 buck IEM this amount of bass while still having a great tuning is not just fun, it's hilarious and mindblowing!

I whish I would have found your video sooner it is very informative and entertaining as well. I was wondering if getting the zero2 as I have the original would be worth it. Thanks to your video I know that I would probably be disappointed with the zero2 and one I should actually avoid. You addressed the questions I had about details retrieval, how spacious they sound ,imaging, air.. I doubted it being as good then the original from the graphs but due to the new driver I couldn't just assume based on the graph. Thanks again for this wonderful video and keep jazzing.

Hey man! Loved the video. Quick question for you: I used to have the SoundMAGIC E10, but it ended up breaking. My main issue with them was the high frequencies around 8 kHz-they felt too harsh, so I always had to tweak the EQ to tone them down. Now, I mostly listen to K-pop (groups like TWICE, aespa, BLACKPINK, female groups), and some pop-punk too. Do you think this one is an upgrade over the E10, or would you suggest anything else around the same price point? Appreciate any tips you can give!
@PrimeAudioReviews9 сағат бұрын
This also has a peak around 8kHz but it never bothered me. I never tried the E10 so I don't know how it compared in treble quality or quantity. I think this should be fine for you, otherwise consider the Kiwi Ears Cadenza.

Zero for gaming, Zero2 for everything else
@MattDAmours11 ай бұрын
Nice review! I got my pair in three days ago, and so far, I love em'. Compared to the OG Zero, I actually find the Zero 2s sit more comfortably in my ears. Given the similar shell design, this might come down to the way the wire sits along the top of my ears, and affects the angle of the shells. Sound-wise, I'm super impressed with these. The Zeros were close, but the shoutiness in the upper frequencies made them too fatiguing. Yes, there's a sub and mid-bass boost with this new model, but it's tastefully done, and like you mention, doesn't bleed into the mids. Another note on the cable: this softer material is actually more comfortable, and alleviates one of the issues with the original cable. When wearing glasses, the plasticky bit on the ear hook for the original would rub against them, and the friction would create this unpleasant sound. With the new materials of the Zero 2 cable, this doesn't happen at all. In this price-range, I also own the Chu, Chu 2, Lan (a bit pricier, but close), 7hz Zero and the Truthear Hola. The Zero 2 is now my new personal favorite in this bracket, and frankly, it puts up a respectable performance relative to the Truthear Hexa. The Hexas sound better...but the Zero 2s are slightly more comfortable. For longer sessions, it'll be the Zero 2.

zero 2 is better overall, it has more bass, but still mantains clean sound, and also vocals are more lively than wan'er, wan'er's vocals are a little more forward, but the texture is not as good, zero 2 has strong subass with punch, smoother uppermids, better vocals, more lower treble for a more lively sound, and smooth overall frequency response which makes it easy to eq too
@FehandPudd9 ай бұрын
I have the original zero and the balance between the bass all the way to highs is wonderful. The treble is a little much but can easily be tamed with thicker narrow bore eartips. I would have liked to see the zero 2 to be like original zero with just 3 or so db less in the treble peek and of course this new style ect..

The nozzles on these are a little over 6mm wide. Why? Back when I used IEMs, I had a hard time getting 5mm nozzles to fit comfortably. I thought manufacturers widened nozzles to accommodate multiple balanced armature drivers, but they eventually started making almost all of them with wide nozzles, whether they had BAs or not.

6:55 that's straight up a dead giveaway that you're just being wishy-washy with your words💀💀 Having more bass and less treble reduces soundstage, on practically any iem, so new one should be the one with smaller soundstage
@PrimeAudioReviews10 ай бұрын
It's all relaitve. You can't just ignore the forwardness of the midrange and say that "It has more bass therefore smaller soundstage".
@hiro_44410 ай бұрын
@@PrimeAudioReviews but you can tho? I'm confused on so many levels from what you said... More forward midrange? It's midrange shouldn't be particularly more forward tho? When you said that in the video I just chalked it up to a placebo from reduced treble. Cause the mids on both should be somewhat similarly forward if you aren't listening at entirely different volume levels... What does midrange in particular do about the sense of soundstage? From what I know the entire tilt of the frequency response is what matters most for it, midrange in particular doesn't do much on it's own. It's just one of the things I've seen consistently across practically any iem review, darker tilted tuning naturally reduces the perception of soundstage (more intimate sounding apparently). Can you give some clarification on what you said?

Many of them consider it a taboo it's often looked down upon. Musicality is now something widely regarded as being coloured or impure. I don't get it either because you can have truly resolving and detailed IEMs that still have a good bass response.
@FehandPudd9 ай бұрын
Bass can easily reduce the quality and presence of the other frequencies more importantly the mids followed by the highs which is where most of the music is taking place... If you can hear the bass well that's enough bass no need to feel it or whatnot imo. The original zero had enough of it letting those mids come through very nicely it is a shame that the zero 2 are not as such and instead tuned just like so many other budget iem's. now Zero lost the one characteristic that made them quite unique in the price bracket.
