This video was very surprising as I never realized UP had rails so far removed from the population areas! Beautiful scenery!

Love the scenery. Great catches and footage while trackside in this part of the country. We enjoyed the commentary and watching. Have a great rest of your Wednesday evening and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.(Steve)

Beautiful video! It would be cool if you could do a video on the BNSF Brush Subdivision in Colorado

Yes, or the old Santa Fe main between Seligman and Needles through Cherokee Canyon, and Peach Springs. Some shots in Kingman Canyon would be nice too.

This is really good quail hunting country, and there's also some of the biggest mule deer in Nevada in this area.

I saw plenty of both out there. Turkeys too.

Very nice video.. As an "Original Transcon RR" fan, I am quite familiar with Palisade Canyon, and the CPRR efforts of 1868, led by James Strobridge, and company. Lovely sites, and remnants abound. Thanks, and will put this route on the bucket list!😇

Thanks for putting these video's together, you provide a lot of information for us who will likely never be able to visit such areas. 32:05 "this million dollar train is made up of..." - what does the term 'million dollar train' refer to as I was not able to find anything with a net search.

Good video in a different location from most. Do you know how Elgin is pronounced? Is it like Elgin, Illinois or Elgin, Texas? Many years ago I rode the Desert Wind round trip from Pomona, CA to Milford, UT but it was all at night, Also, note the remaining pole line in some places. Very few exist anymore since more reliable communications and signal systems have invaded the industry.

Very excited to watch this one! Gives me even more of a hankering to revisit. How many days was your visit here to record all this footage?
@7ideaproductions2 жыл бұрын
I was there for ten days shooting between Vegas and Milford. Nearly half of that time was spent in the canyon. Absolutely loved it! I would love to see what you can do there with your bird!

Very cool that is a great length of time because I know there can be some big lulls on that line. I was still flying my Phantom 4 when I was there last so I badly want to get back with the Inspire 2. Hopefully in the next couple years.

7763's trailing engine 7312 actually has an NS Dash 9 Cab with high headlights instead of them being on the nose, im pretty sure it was in a crash when it was on NS rails at one point.

Almost all NS units have the headlight up high and not on the nose.

@@charlottesvillerailfan yeah I know, the reason why I was saying that is because UP doesn’t do that.
