Fantastic series on UP here in Idaho. Traffic was more abundant here back in the the '80s and early '90s.

This is one of the videos I was so excited to see come out as I lived in one of the communities in this video! :) Quick correction at 41:09, that water actually flows from Lake Walcott impounded my Minidoka Dam. The creation of Lake Walcott gave the area the Magic Valley name as the valley went from desert to magically transforming to farm land with the creation of the reservoir. Love 7Idea Production videos!

I was going to point out the same thing. Some interesting pronunciation of a few of the places, overall a great video of the trains in the backyard of my youth.

At 1:12:20 the place that has the fence. Around that area was the old American Falls railroad station. Wooden construction. I also liked the old EIRR paint colors. Plus, I don't know what happened. They had a EIRR passenger car parked in Rupert. Years ago. One thing I'm trying to find but pretty sure it was removed. Between Raft River and Rupert. Closure to Rupert was a old Water tower. I cannot find it. I was told it was removed. Then again I was just out for a drive and really wasn't paying attention. Just heading down the back roads. Between those two places.

It's not DeWoff siding, it's DeWolf. A challenging drive for anyone wanting to drive into it. Most likely the DODX cars, are empty. The cars with spent nuclear fuel in them are headed to the Idaho National Laboratory north of Pocatello. They usually have a special, heavily guarded train.

The Final episode of OSL today My Area Bliss to Pocatello Yard the Magic Valley. When this episode was filmed I met the film crew and Idaho Railfan who were showing them around. I'm the one who pointed out where the Northside Branch was which is now the lead into the Anderson Facility in Bliss. On the day this was filmed 7 Idea caught the train at the 5:00 minute mark and me I caught the head end in my video. On this day I filmed the Bliss Local working the Holsom Cement Plant then went up the hill when the westbound arrived. I would later go to Fuller but I did not film the local there because that was the next day and 7 Idea caught him at JDH. The train you see on the balloon at 12:00 is loading the back half of his train the head end which was in Part 2 of this series is in Bliss loading up with the cars staged at Fuller until the Bliss Local pulls them. There is a switcher at Anderson an old GT Geep 7 which switches out the plant once they got the cotton unloaded the cars were placed on the west leg of the wye and the grain train who tied up at Fuller was backed in. When loading was complete the rear half of the train was staged at Fuller then the two trains coupled together and left Bliss in Part 2. Happy Golden Spike Day OSL 184 years as Idaho's main line. Part 4 the Pocatello Sub can also be found on this channel. Thank You for posting this 7 Idea always good to tour my area.
