Wow both of these steam locomotive look very cool and especially #3. I have a long love for steam trains and this in no exception. Keep up the great work.

SVRy #3 was at Cascade Idaho at the lumber mill. before that #3 was used in the Thunder Mountains on the narrow gauge timber line that Eccles built there above Cascade

Steam trains are a hit with the public even people who were born after the steam era. Strasburg Rail Road in PA gets many visitors annually. Durango and Silverton and Cumbres and Toltec are popular narrow gauge tourist railroads with spectacular scenery. And kids love steam trains. Even though today’s kids only know about steam trains through stories told by older people.

I love these videos of scenic railroads! If you do visit California soon or later, maybe visit the poway midland railroad. It’s a very small narrow gauge railroad that I work at that goes around a park in poway called the old poway park. Home to engine number 3!

They run one every fall. It is usually posted on the schedule on the website. Well worth the trip.
