As a teen in the sixties I was living with my parents who were in the RAF at Northolt. I was crazy about the Troggs and if they ever appeared within travelling distance I would go to their gigs. I looked up my diaries and these are the venues I saw them performing - 21 May 1967 Starlite Greenford , 7 March 1967 ,Adelphi Slough, 6 May 1966, Town Hall High Wycombe 21June 1966 Starlite Ballroom Greenford 17 July 1966 Marquee London 26 July 1966. In the autumn of 1967 I had met a Swedish girl and on a visit to Sweden I saw them there in Stockholm in October 1967, Such happy memories

IT IS NOT THE REAL ORIGINAL VERSION. YOU TRANSFORMED IT, BY A LATER INFLUENCE, HARD ROCK. SO IT IS RATHER A KINDVOF HARD ROCK VERSION. AND I PREFER THE SMOOTHER ORGINAL 1966 VERSION. SO IT IS NOT THE ORIGINAL VERSION. I AM MYSELF REALLY POST- HARD ROCK. AND ELECTRONIC MUSIC IS THEREFORE IN MANY INSTANCES BETTER THAN THIS TYPE OF HSRD ROCK, WITH EVEN NOTHING ELECTRONIC IN IT, AS IT IS THE CASE FOR LINKING PARK OR LIMP BISCUIT (MY WAY FIR EXAMPLE). I AM NOT REALLY IN THIS TYPE OF MUDIC OF THE 70S. BETTER THEREFORE THE ORIGINAL.
@7inchrecords2 жыл бұрын
Luigi, you don't have to shout when saying that you don't like this version of a classic rock song. The Troggs were not a hard rock band neither a metal band. In the sixties there were many bands that play rock songs; The Kinks, The Yardbirds, The Easybeats to name a few. Of course, this is not the original version, it is a live concert, played 31 years later! I think that Reg and his band The Troggs played a very nice gig in the 90's. Telling me that I transformed the music in this video is ridiculous and not true.
