After watching this I immediately googled Scott’s case & I am delighted to find that he was acquitted in 2020 after spending 13 years in prison. Imagine going to prison for that length of time for something you didn’t do, especially the murder of your girlfriend, as well as doing time he must have been grieving her loss too. Absolutely shocking. Those incompetent detectives should be sent to prison for framing him for the same amount of time Scott served

It was easier to make him look like the killer than actually find the killer, and the detectives would have come from elsewhere and just wanted to go home. Yet go commit a big enough crime in melbourne where detectives live, they'll find you 6 months later cos theyre looking for YOU, not someone to pin it on so they can go home, they go home everynight.. I know from experience, I bashed a truck driver for nearly running me over as i crossed the street at the crossing while it was green, and they found me 6 months later, took them 6 months to get enough cctv footage to locatedthe apartment building i lived in, then they had to contact real estates and turns out there was only 3 white people living in the building, me, my brother and 1 other person on the 10th floor, so 6 months later, they come got me, knew my apartment, knew id be home, probably watched me come home before coming up to get me

It happens more often than you think, incompetent detective hell bent on conviction despite evidence, I know someone that got 8yrs for a crime he didnt commit and the evidence found cleared him, evidence has come to light that they lied about, disallowed witnesses and a prosecutor that was excused as they wanted to speak on his behalf. Heck we just got a copy of the court documents and the replacement prosecutor lied in their closing statement to the jury, we found proof their statements were false, hoping for appeal

I am actually so incredibly embarassed to know, not only has one or more of these detectives supposedly found evidence AFTER each piece where this evidence was found had already been searched, BUT one or more of them has actually planted this evidence there. Obviously on purpose. WHAT SORT OF PERSON, OR PEOPLE DO THAT? To actually intentionally plant false evidence, that you KNOW full well will be used against him in a court of law, very possibly, and in this case it did, send him to jail for YEARS. I personally and most definitely believe that, as well as getting out there and finding the REAL killer/murderer, they need to get out there and find WHO PLANTED THIS EVIDENCE, ON PURPOSE. Very much obviously meaning to get this poor, very innocent man in jail. FOR MURDER. This is actually an absolute MASSIVE DISGRACE and so incredibly embarassing for not only Australians, but also the Western Australian detectives who were working on this case. The innocent detectives, if there were any I mean. An absolute disgrace. I'm so IMMENSELY HAPPY that finally, this totally innocent man was found to be innocent. Innocent of all charges. They have AISO, AFP and ASIS (Australian Intelligence Security Organization, Australian Federal Police, Australian Secret Intelligence Service) AISO would be a lot like MI5 and FBI. ASIS handles cases that typically involve global and domestic cyberattacks and cybersecurity. Often the above organizations handle overlapping cases. ASIS = CIA, ASIO = FBI, AFP = Secret Service, Federal Police and details that cross State and Territory crime and protection. There are also another 3 other Intelligence agencies in Australia. I am glad that Scott is now free and has been aquited for this crime. I am not surprised at what has happened though. My late partner had been living in WA in the late 80s. Was an original hacker and had done things that at the time did not have a name. My partner was convicted for some of the crimes which really was not a surprise and did not always play by the rules. One day a WA Police officer came to their unit with a warrant in one hand and mortgage in the other hand. My partner pay the police officers mortgage he then told my partner to pack their belongings and put them on a plane with the final worlds never come back. My partner and I travelled every state except WA for this reason. I have had this confirmed by another party.

Cases like this lead to the conclusion that a police officer should have a college degree in a legitimate academic subject (not a "studies" but something like chemistry or history). Completing a traditional college degree is itself a personality test, while at the same time improving the best in a person.

I searched Scott Austic appeal outcome and I found only that after hearing the new evidence judges are preparing the answer. The last info about that was on august 1, 2019. Nothing after. If anybody knows more, please write here what that decision was.

Fran Kaczmarek hi Fran, I am Scott’s nephew Jaiyden :) just today we finally had our first taste of justice! Scott Austic is no longer convicted and now officially innocent until proven guilty. In the future we will be getting a retrial for my uncle

@@FletchiiGames Thank you for the answer. I hope they let him go from prison. It is the only way it should be done in situation like this. Terrible ordeal.

As long as raises, promotions are based on citations, arrest and convictions. This happens every day....

Apart from other diabolical behavior, the justice system has a budget. From the police to the courts to the prisons. Now if the number of detained people or prisoners drops for a significant period of time then the justice systems budget is cut. This means less jobs. So, part of the protocol is to increase the detainments, arrests and imprisonments to create jobs and maintain or increase the budget.

Why would police do this? Unbelievable. Just so they can say they solved the case? Unbelievable. I’m starting to think some Australian police are really fucked up
