Nicotine poisoning brings back a crisis event from 20 years ago. I was never a smoker but foolishly decided one day to try a stick of nicotine gum that was sold over the counter in drug stores under the brand name "Nicorette". The purpose of the gum was to help people quit smoking but my thought was that it might give me a "buzz". I began chewing the small piece of the nicotine gum and within minutes, I began sweating and felt a racing heart beat. I then became nauseous and ran to the bathroom. I vomited more violently that I could ever remember. I remember thinking I will have to call 911 for an ambulance. But it was the violent vomiting that rid my system of the nicotine. Nicotine is nothing to play around with. I learned this the hard way.

I can only surmise that Linda, being older than her husband, and lonely despite her wealth, fell heavily for the Paul she thought she knew. I wish she had heeded her gut feeling, because she did suspect he was the cause of her illness. She probably thought she wouldn't be able to move on if they separated/divorced. Loneliness and low self esteem, allows some people to make irrational decisions. Bless her. She sounded like a lovely woman. Rest in peace🌹

I think its a revenge for your not having wanted them at the start.
