My grandma owned a small restaurant in South Carolina. It was the late 60s and, as a black woman, she experienced a taste of racism but still held strong and ran her business beautifully. Elvis happened to travel through and he actually stopped by her restaurant to eat her food, which spoke volumes due to the social climate at the time. Her eyes still light up when telling me the story - she really appreciated his kindness. It was refreshing for her.

I think Elvis was such a tragic story. Not because he died relatively young, but because he lost so much of himself after he became that famous. @Kate Bunny Priscilla and Mike Stone definitely were dating before 1972. She left right before New Years 1971, according to his staff and Linda Thompson. I think her and Mike started an affair beginning of 1971 or December 1970. She had an affair with her dance teacher a month or two after Lisa was born because Elvis rejected her.

I got chills at the end when she said you could feel his footsteps down the stairs 🥺She loved him so much and still does to this day. I dong blame her. He was truly a gift to this world, no matter how damaged he might have been. He was caring, giving, and always humble to his fans. He is so very missed! Priscilla is lucky she had the chance to be in his life. and intern he was even more blessed to have a woman that loved him for who he was not for the artist or the king he was, gave him his only daughter, and saved what was precious to him the most which was Graceland, and thats her testament of love.

They were the most beautiful couple, they just belonged together, I don’t care what people said about Priscilla, she was a young girl and because of her the memory of Elvis stay alive, her life was not easy next to him, Elvis had many affairs but they blamed Priscilla when she finally walked out.

I do not know how she hung in there as long as she did. Everywhere Elvis went women threw themselves at him. Once Lisa was born and Elvis went on the road that left Priscilla at home for long periods. Elvis realized that he was wrong. Unfortunately it was too late.. When they were together they were a great couple. I watch and read anything I see about them. Being Mrs Elvis Presley made her a very wealthy woman. Many have found fault with that for different reasons. I am grateful that she has shared a lot about Elvis with his fans.

patricia smith you are so right, Priscilla was just a child when she met Elvis and he had many affairs, I am sure he always loved Priscilla and they continue being good friends after their divorce, yes I also read a lot about them and heard what Lisa said about their parents, they truly loved each other, I don’t care if she get rich from it, she had to endure a lot and works very hard for the EPE to keep everything working.

And why Priscilla did not let Elvis go when he fell in love with Ann-Margret, and for real. Priscilla made a scandal and her parents and Colonel Parker pressed Elvis to marry her. She broke his feelings and what did she want to expect from him? Loyalty, honesty, love? Isn't she screaming how she hates this Ann-Margret and let her go to her Sweden ??? Maybe someone else had to get out? If Elvis had married Ann-Margret, he would still be alive, most likely, because Ann-Margret needed neither the fame of Elvis nor the celebrity, she herself had it all !!!!

I was camping in the redwood forest with my soon to be husband. we were walking along one of the camping roads with all sorts of trailors, campers ect and all of a sudden it became deadly quiet. I swear not even the birds were singing. We asked the nearest people to us if something happened and they said" Elvis died" We were gobsmacked. We were lucky to see him just the year before in Portland I believe. We had booked a couch tour from Vancouver Canada(5 greyhound buses) for the weekend. I guess the promoters sold too many tickets so Elvis did another show at a small university theater. Well since he were on a bus tour they delegates us to this small theater. At first many of us were dismayed until we entered this small auditorium. Just WOW, talk about close up and personal. What a performance he put on, amazing doesn't begin to cover it. @ALFredo C And Priscilla's betrayals? Why didn't she share his interests and his spiritual goals ? She was literally annoyed when he used to read pieces from his favourite books in bed at night., and when invited her to sit down with other girls in his bedroom reading the bible or talking about the meaning of life and other profound subjects, Priscilla was interested more in earthly pleasures than in spiritual matters. So she involved herself in Spanish and French lessons, in photography, and in dancing lessons,so she had her first love affair with the teacher. She knew that Elvis loved women and women loved and tempted him, why did she marry him? but Elvis's infidelities were mostly casual affairs and didn't affect his love for the family The only real infidelity was his true love for Ann-Margret, but he honestly married her. "Already Elvis knew his marriage had been a mistake that he and Priscilla had never truly been compatible, and that they had tragically outgrown their dreams. He had fallen for a fourteen-year-old girl, and she, as an eleven-year-old for the flickering image of a bad boy dancing suggestively on TV. Neither of them was the same person now They had married ghosts (A:Nash from 'Baby, let's play house'). +- r.
