Exploring the TLS Protocol in Wi-Fi Deployments

Thanks for wonderful video .. Again i have a confusion in understanding TLS..Why TLS is required ? Since already WIFI data's are encrypted with authentication method, Why TLS is required ? Especially for WIF deployments.. Layer 2 authentication..

TLS is used to establish a secure connection to share authentication and encryption info. This tunnel is just used for a short while. You cannot send any Application data packets until the 4-way handshake creates the symmetric keys for your session. This is based on data exchanged in the tunnel before it is taken down. TLS is not used for encryption.
