Gotta say that that clip was brilliant. A truly hard comparison. Both work so hard, Dusty is a better mark, in fact I was a better mark but Buddy is 6'6 tall. That is a huge advantage. Before you argue I love Buddy & am a Swans fan. Buddy is the best long goal freak probably even including Peter Hudson. Yeah I'm that old, in fact I used to watch Sergio Silvagni play. Both are incredible ground ball players but Dusty wins this one by a small amount. That Buddy is that good down low considering his height is a feature of his freak. I was 6'1, Dusty size but in those days the main tap ruck. I had leap factor but my ground skills sucked so I can only admire it in others. Dusty is in his prime, Buddy isn't so young anymore. I wondered if he should be playing in 2019. Management of injuries as you get older as they play havoc in your life after footy is not fun. Both of them are also very difficult to snag,

Both have different playing styles. Dusty plays as a centreman and also plays as a forward pocket. Dusty nullifies taggers and small defenders. Buddy plays CHF and FF and can also play the flanks and wings as he can do things that a man nearly 2 metres tall has no business doing. Both players are freakish, fearless and fearsome.

2017 grand final, adelaides whole game plan was dusty, they failed. Deboar tagged dusty in 2019, no one could break his tag and he just destroyed them. 2020 v geelong, you can see the attention he brings, they're all thinking about dusty every stoppage etc and he still dominated. He breaks tags..

Dusty by a country mile. Franklin can mark and goal like a machine but not much better than Dusty. On the other hand Dusty’s speed, handling, football sense, ability to change an entire game on his own and ability to read play is superior to every other player in the AFL today by a long, long way.
