The Ten Commandments are separate from the Mosaic Laws. At the cross, Yes, the Mosaic Laws were done away with because Jesus Christ became the sacrificial Lamb. It's so hard to understand why most Protestants try their best to come up with excuses for worshiping on Sunday when even the Catholic church, who they protested against starting back with Luther and others, documents they have never really left the Catholic church completely. That is why God used another messenger to help continue the reformation by restoring truth that had been lost during the dark ages to prepare people for His second coming. The SDA church was raised up to share that restored truth just like we and other faiths share the restored truth of justification and righteousness by faith proclaimed by Luther to Catholics. Keeping the Sabbath is not how we get our salvation. We keep it because we have been saved and the law is written in our heart. Yes, there are some SDA's that probably make it a works issue but not the main body of the church. A conference in 1888 was totally about righteousness by faith and was promoted prominently by EGW. Morris Venden spent years, starting in the 70's, promoting righteousness by faith across the country and world in SDA churches. The Sabbath of the 4th commandment is not any more for just the Jews than the commandments not to kill or steal. The 4th commandment was in remembrance of creation and the God who created us. Genesis 2:1-3 It reveals who the Author of the ten commandments is which were written with His own finger on stone. This is not the sabbath's of the ceremonial laws. Those are the sabbath's that were nailed to the cross. Those are the sabbath's that Colossians 2:16 are talking about. If the law of love has been written on your heart, as it should be if you have been born again, then you will keep all 10; not for salvation but for love to God and your neighbor just as Jesus described. If you are a Protestant, it's because there were men used by God to show errors in the traditions of the Roman Catholic church and they were condemned as heretics by the church with many of them being burned alive at the stake. Is it any different today when God has a messenger that is showing that some of the continued traditions of the church are in error and figuratively gets burned at the stake? Is there something in scripture that says a person cannot have visions or dreams after the Bible was written? Do we discredit the dreams and visions given Muslims showing they need to follow Jesus? What about Joel 2:28-31? In the early Christian church, both Jews and Gentiles met on Sabbath just as Jesus did. It's interesting to read the Greek for those texts that talk about the "first day of the week". Check it out. Jesus said that He was Lord of the Sabbath, and that man was made for the Sabbath. Why doesn't Jesus or God say anywhere in the NT that He was changing the day from Saturday to Sunday? Again, it's not a salvation issue, it's a love for God issue. We have been saved by Jesus Christ and NOT "plus something". SDA's believe there will be many Catholics and Protestants of all faiths in heaven who don't currently keep the Sabbath, including non-Christian's and heathen's who never heard of Jesus but kept the principles of the God's law of love in their hearts. Romans 2:13-15 There is going to come a day of testing a person's loyalty to God as described in Revelation 13:17 when "no one can buy or sell except those who worship the beast" and unfortunately it says in Revelation 13:3 "And ALL the world marveled and followed the beast". My emphasis added. Revelation also speaks of those that don't receive the mark of the beast as those "who keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus." Revelation 14:11,12 SDA's have some excellent studies on Daniel and Revelation showing how to interpret the symbols by comparing scripture with scripture. Example's, a beast equals a kingdom Daniel 7:17,23; a horn equals king or kingdom along with strength Daniel 7:24; 8:21,22 Psalm 75:10; the dragon equals Satan Revelation 12:7-9; the Lamb equals Jesus Isaiah 53:7; John 1:29; the Lake of Fire equals God's fiery presence (Song of Solomon 8:6,7 & Isaiah 33:14,15) and many other clues that you can find by searching scripture to understand the meaning. One last comment. I believe there is even more truth coming to light and that is that God's law is not like human imposed laws that require someone in authority to catch you and then punish you for breaking the law. God's moral law of love, which its principles were written by His finger is the law that He created everything to operate by because His character is love 1 John 4:8. Moral law works just like His other laws of creation. Break the law of gravity by jumping off the Empire State building and you die. Break the law of respiration by tying a bag over your head and you die. Break the law of love and live a selfish life and you die. The consequences are all built right into the law. There is no need for God to punish, torture or kill the wicked in the end. When brought into the presence of the Lamb, Revelation 14:10, Who is Truth and Love, their guilt will torment them to the point of death just like our guilt placed upon Jesus killed Him. "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head". Romans 12:20. That is a clue for the fire and brimstone in Revelation 14:10 By God giving the wicked up to their own free choice, Romans 1:19, 24,26,28, also another clue for God's wrath in Revelation, they will experience being in the presence of total Truth and Love and everything they have ever done to others and God that is against the law of love will be revealed to them full strength which will torment them to death. There will be no denying or hiding from their actions. It will take some longer than others to perish, (cease to exist Webster's) Johns 3:16, because of the amount of evil that has hardened their hearts. Once they have all died, then the cleansing fire of 2 Peter 3:10 will cleanse their bodies from the earth. "For as the new heavens and the new earth which I will make shall remain before Me, says the Lord, So shall your descendants and your name remain. And it shall come to pass that from one New Moon to another and from one Sabbath to another, all flesh shall come to worship before Me, says the Lord." Isaiah 66:22,23. Notice it's talking about the new heavens and earth and "all flesh" not just Jews will come to worship God from one Sabbath to another.

You quote some good things, but SDAism has errors, and God wants us to believe the whole truth. Do yourself a favor and read the definition of sabbath in the Greek, in a Concordance, I use Strong's without any denominational explanations. I want the Holy Spirit to show me. This was well done. I feel myself that “ the Sabbath of the Lord God” is best followed by the original Jewish peoples (timewise) so I just have mine at the same time as Israel. In the beginning you say they keep "the Jewish Sabbath". But where in scripture is the Sabbath called jewish? According to Mark 2:27 the Sabbath was made for anthropos (man, mankind). And was it not instituted in Eden, way before the tribe of Judah came into existence? Then you say that the Sabbath is of the Mosaic law. I guess it means you concider it among the ceremonial laws. But while it is true that the annual feast day sabbaths are of the ceremonial laws, according to Exodus 20:8 the weekly seventh day Sabbath is of the Moral Law (Decalogue) right?

The sabbath commandment was given to the nation of Israel as part of the Old Covenant, there is no evidence anyone observed it before that, nor is there any New Testament command for the church to observe it. Hebrews teaches Christ is our sabbath rest, I have a video explaining that if you search for it. Under the New Covenant we have the Lord's day, following the example of the apostles assembling on the first day of the week (Acts 20:7, 1 Corinthians 16:2, Revelation 1:10).

@@Pastor_Grant Thanks. Well, according to Exodus 16:5, Sabbath observance existed before Mount Sinai. And Exodus 20:11 describes it as a memorial of Creation, with clear references to Genesis 2:2-3. To me, removing one of the Ten Commandments while keeping the others, makes very little sense. There are several verses in the Gospels and in Revelation teaching us to keep the commandments. Matthew 5:18-19 stresses the importance of keeping all of them, and nowhere does the New Testament say that the Sabbath commandment has been removed or altered. Neither does it anywhere say that the first day of the week is the Lord's day. Nor that assembling or breaking of bread should only take place on a specific weekday.

@@user-xm4rr1yt6n Exodus 16:5 is still God commanding Moses and again, we are under the NEW COVENANT. 9 out of the 10 commandments are reaffirmed in the New Testament, the sabbath isn't. We have the Lord's Day which is also a day or rest and that is what the early disciples observed in Acts 20:7, 1 Corinthians 16:2.

What is absent from NT is the transfer of the day of rest from the seventh day to the first day of the week. What is absent from NT is a verse saying that the first day of the week is the Lord's day.

I've been praying for the Lord Jesus Christ to remove the veil from their eyes and hearts. They collected money on the first day of the week, and are said to choose that day to meet because Jesus arose on the first day of the week. The meaning of sabbath in the Greek in the Strong's Concordance is that it is in between Sabbath days, i.e. the whole week. It is also a day. Jesus gives rest every day, 7 days as opposed to your or any other Sabbath religion, including Sunday Sabbath keepers who insist it's for salvation, which it is not. Saturday or Sunday, neither are required for salvation. Time for you to obey Colossians 2:16. New covenant replaces the old. Jesus said so. You must be born again to be saved.

Just a couple of things 1.We do not view Sunday worship as the mark of the beast, what consists the mark of the beast is "FORCED" religion you can read more about it from the book Great Controversy under the chapter called "Character and aims of the papacy" and mind you almost all the founders of protestantism believed the papal system to be the beast of Revelation. 2. We do not observe the "Jewish" Sabbath, we observe the "Creation" Sabbath to say that it is contrary to "Living under Grace"/ or that the 10 commandments were also done with at the cross, then in essence Hitler(without judging) is a saint as well as everyone who kills, or commits adultery or who worships anyone apart from YAHWEH because that law that prohibited that at least before God was done with at the cross. ~ The law that was nailed at the cross was the Mosaic law which had to do with offerings and sacrifices that's why John said behold the lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world, referring to Jesus being the ultimate and perfect sacrifice that's why we no longer offer lambs in 2023, but we still keep the law because it was there before sin/before the lamb(need for one) God rested on the 7th day from all his work Genesis 2 and in heaven Isaiah 66: 22-24 talks about how all life will worship God on Sabbaths in heaven now if we can't worship God on the Sabbath that He installed from CREATION whilst here how will we be able to do that when we go up there? It means the last day of the week, and it also means the se'nnight (archaic for 7 nights), in between the sabbaths. So the rest is every day, not only Saturday. It's spiritual, not physical. You cannot find a scripture from Jesus, that states it's a must to keep the OT sabbath. The man here explained it, why ask me? Jesus even broke the Sabbath. SDAs sent the dirty of Jesus Christ even though they lied to Walter Martin to secure acceptance among Christian orthodoxy. Even though Martin later reidentified the SDA religion as a cult, the Adventist got busy reprinting and changing their literature. On the face it was changing but behind the scenes was a major divide amongst Adventists. The SDA religion is a CULT, of most sublime and devastatingly deceptive kind. No Corporation, or denomination has got the goods on the SDA church. It is the ultimate mimic tool in the hand of the Dragon.

The original dates and belief of the Millerites came to be from deep study and certain people's interpretation of the texts specificallythe prohpecy of Daniel. Ellen White and her beliefs are again based upon her experiences and understanding of the Bible. I truly encourage you to pray upon these things and to continue to study. The JWs, however, say that this means, that Jesus is only an angel, and SDAs teach, that Michael is the divine Angel of the LORD, the second person of the Trinity. If you read Daniel 10 and 12, it absolutely makes sense, that Michael is another name for Jesus. But the Bible makes it clear, that Jesus is God, thus Michael has to be the second person of the Trinity. Michael is the only angel, that is called an archangel in the Bible, in fact, the word archangel is only mentioned twice: Once for Michael and once for the second coming of Jesus, when he will return with the shout of an archangel. "Archangel" comes from two Greek words: "Arche" and "Angellos". Angellos obviously means angel, and Arche can either mean beginning or dominion. They both make sense for Jesus: He is the beginning of the creation (NOT like JWs like to interpret it "the first created being", but the one through whom all things were created) and he is the one who reigns in heaven. Other points, where JWs and SDAs differ, are the Sabbath, clean and unclean meat and because it's so important, I want to mention once more, that (most) SDAs believe in the Trinity and JWs don't. JWs also have a very weird timeline: They believe, the 144,000 were resurrected already in 1914. SDAs don't believe that, they believe the resurrection will be when Christ returns, and that the 144,000 are a symbolic number. The only date, that SDAs give, is 1844, which marks the time Jesus entered the most holy place, and the judgement began. I am not very educated on this topic, but the Bible says Noah warned the people for 120 years, so I would compare the time since 1844 to the time of Noah: The judgement of the world began in 1844, and since then, the people are warned, to "fear God and give glory to him, for the hour of his judgement is come. And worship him, that made heaven and earth and sea and the fountains of waters", and that "Babylon is fallen, is fallen, the great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication", and also that "if any man worships the beast and his image, and receives its mark on his forehead or on his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; And he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment arises unto the ages of ages, and they have no rest, neither day nor night, those who worship the beast and its image, and whosoever receives the mark of its name."

@@TonysRagequit The beliefs on the Archangel Michael are unconvincing. Gabriel is also said to be an Archangel. Also, Jesus is the Son and the Word of God. Yet, it's Father, Son, and Holy Spirit for the Trinity. I know an SDA, and they have never brought the Michael belief out once. I think they are taught to agree with Christians but not bring any real odd beliefs up. The Sabbath and food beliefs are are held by some Christian denominations, but not by most Christians. They stick to their church teachings and truth is, they study most on the subjects that the teachers know that born again Christians believe, so they can constantly repeat their contentious doctrines. When SDA's hand out literature it's always Ellen White's health message and the Great Controversy. The health message on refraining from foods, including meat eating & tea & coffee drinking ect which goes against Paul the apostle teachings, that they are not taught or shown. They teach Ellen White beliefs without giving her reference and throw in a few bible texts to make out it's all coming from the bible. The bible is very complete. Her books are never an addition to the scriptures, nor are they equal. They lead confused minds back to the bible. They are like the law of moses was related to the Ten commandments, and so are the books related to the bible.

Explain why Jesus said, in essence, pray your travel won't be on the Sabbath Matthew 24:20... Show us in YOUR Bible where Jesus went to the synagogue on Sunday... Where did Jesus condemn Sabbath worship? The ten commandments, to include the 4th, are clear as day. The rest of the Bible can be left to interpretation. Adventists views differ on Ellen G White. Hell is real and souls will be lost there. So kid yourself to believe that the way you live wont determine where you end up. SDA's say people cease to exist at the final judgement which is a denial of the orthodox teaching of hell and nobody said sabbath worship is "condemned" rather it was part of the Law of Moses and we are not under the law (Romans 6:14) Jesus was born under the law as Galatians 4 says, Lord's Day worship was established after the resurrection where Christians gathered on the 1st day of the week (Acts 20:7, 1 Corinthians 16:2).

@@porfiriojohn5276 it's impressive you took time out to write epistles. However my short response to you is Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. A day is the Sabbath, one day. God is not one of confusion; If there were multiple days to be observed as Sabbath he would have said so. So stick with your interpretation of your favorite apostle's letters or stick with what God's finger wrote. Jesus didn't delete the laws, He fulfilled them, did He not say this? He had to be sinless a spotless lamb so we can be saved through Him we can gain forgiveness through Him each time we sin. If He had debts He couldn't pay for ours. There is grace and there is law. Grace saves us from the law but the laws exist. What then would be the sense of grace without law? If no law and only Grace what's the sense?

Pastor I think that you need to go back and double check your facts. Ellen White was a messenger, This is how she has described herself. It was to help bring light to God's truth. She has never professed to be a prophet. Please go back and study extensively the book of revelation. This way, you may understand what the mark of the beast is. You ask everyone that you are speaking to at this moment. Should and must study the Bible prayerfully for truth to reveal to them through the Holy Spirit rather than them. Accepting your words, they need to go back and find the truth for themselves personally.

And 1 Peter 2 does not say what you are inventing either regarding Leviticus and is not evidence. The bible method of interpretation is the only rule word for word. As Christ at His ascension appeared in the presence of God to plead His blood in behalf of penitent believers, so the priest in the daily ministration sprinkled the blood of the sacrifice in the holy place in the sinner’s behalf. The blood of Christ, while it was to release the repentant sinner from the condemnation of the law, was not to cancel the sin; it would stand on record in the sanctuary until the final atonement; so in the type the blood of the sin offering removed the sin from the penitent, but it rested in the sanctuary until the Day of Atonement.
