The main problem with Ayaka is her dependence on 5-stars to get the most out of her. Furina is like Bennet and Kazuha in that she is an incredible support and in high demand. The nice thing is she has options on those supports. Most importantly, she’s fun to play.

I won't say it's a problem, Ayaka is also the most Starter friendly and highest horizontal investment needing character out there, you just need amenoma kageuchi, rosaria / diona , hydro applied and a vv shredder ( which can be skipped for another hydro ) . Also as he said that budget teams are meh at most , they are not, you can still clear abyss without issues. While the upgrades are really good, only shenha is the character you would have to snipe. The only investment she needs is mist splitter and your ayaka is already best cause cons are ignorable for the most part. , you'll pull for kazuha anyhow for your account, you'll lose 50-50 to Mona someday. Shenha is for people who absolutely love ayaka ( pulling priority, adult female models are always a plus even if you bench them )

There is not a single team in Genshin that is strong (on a speedrunning level) without investments into multiple 5* characters and weapons (maybe, with sole exception of "national" teams). For example, hyperbloom only good teams will contain 3-4 five star characters (and would still have quite low sealing). Or another example - Nevillette. By himself, with pr amber - he does around 15k per tick. And to get to his 50k per tick - you d need a 4 five star team, with Nevis R1 (and probaly a C1 too).

Lol the apologists in the other two replies. Yeah, this has always been my problem with Ayaka. Most of my other teams for the abyss have 2 5*s max. Alhaitham quickbloom, Wanderer hypercarry, Xiao hypercarry (I don't have Cloud Retainer so it's still only one other 5* in that team), International, Raiden overcarry (with a level 20 C6 Chevy lol), etc. Neuvillette, Wriothesley (sometimes), and Navia (if you count 5* weapons, and honestly you should) have 3 5*s. Ayaka still is a struggle to do under most circumstances since most Abysses aren't freeze-friendly. If you want to piss people off though, Bennett is actually what made Ayaka go from not an abyss boss killer to actually one for me. I don't have Shenhe, so Bennett, Kazuha, and Tenacity Layla is what actually enabled Ayaka for me before this abyss without needing 4 5*s. That and using hyperbloom, but why would I downgrade that team when I could just use Alhaitham and make it quickbloom, doing more damage and clearing the abyss faster overall?

@@persephonehades7547 Well yea, Ayaka without 5stars would struggle, cuz she relies alot on 1cycling mobs and 2 cycling bosses. But i wouldnt bother to play any of the described by you teams with barely any 5 stars either, simply because those teams would be very mid.

I came to same conclusions. Even with Furinas C2 i still prefer default "Ayaya/Shenhe/Kazuha/Mona (pr amber)" comp.

I use ayaka with c2 furina and I can see it's way more comfortable than mona kazuha variant. Because sometimes furina hits 50k 35k damage and clear times were significantly better. I use Charlotte as healer and yelan as buffer and sub dps.

In multi wave content, or enemies with custom health pools (like in events), furinas damage would matter for sustain dps. In general though, being able to front load ayaka in those 5 seconds and clear content is usually better. What he didn’t realize/mention was shenhe can use tap E a second time during the back end of ayaka burst giving her another 5 stacks and at C1, she can feed ayaka 15 stacks total into her burst. The reality just is, ayaka teams prefer shenhe.

Hey I appreciate the video as I just pulled for C0 R1 Ayaka and have Furina. I don't have her yet but I think I wanna get Shenhe down the line. I just wondered if Furina's damage as a sub dps especially at c2 makes the damage difference between standard shenhe teams negligible. I noticed we mainly only considered Ayaka's personal damage in the video but furina can offer decent off-field damage herself over the whole rotation. Do you think factoring in Furina's personal damage will make (Furina/Kazuha/Charlotte) or (Furina/Shenhe/Jean) more overall damaging than the standard Ayaka team varients you tested them against & how does much would you say does Furina being C2 affect her damage in an Ayaka team?

I would like to see if you can do the same abyss runs you showed us but with mona...While Furina buffs less, her skill summons do a lot of damage and in a pinch you can get her to heal also. I have been using Charlotte, Furina and Venti as my supports and I am seeing great results. I always hated using mona as once she bursts she is useless for the rest of the time.

I'm kind of surprised that you didn't talk about Furnia making melt teams a lot more viable for Ayaka. Using Furnia means that any DPS character can use the hunter artifacts. For Ayaka this means that you will lose out on some crit rate, but will have much more consistency if not in a cryo team. I use Bennette with Maidens set + Favonius, Xiangling with The Catch + Emblem, and of course Furnia. This team melts (pun intended) through enemies.

why didn't you burst with kazuha on the showcase? missing on some nice dmg% bonus right there i also think everyone unfairly considers damage only when shenhe is buffing. the thing is, she only buffs a couple hits. on average, her buff is MUCH worse than the big numbers suggest. at best, she buffs 1/3 of the burst, so even if she doubled the damage, the actual DPS buff is "only" 33% effectively

she dont buff 1/3 of the burst. She provides around 9 buffed burst hits and if you can one rotate your second skill can be hold version so 11/20. Equally as important is 15% cryo dmg bonus + 15% burst dmg bonus + in my case 15% res shred. Lets not forget that in most cases everything is dead before Aya bursts ends. I think the most bad decison tha BBW does is that his Shnehe is not on NO....??? why?? Then in case of Mona she can hold TotM if needed. Also I think he skill and burst on Mona which is normaly done burst then skill.

Even if you use Tenacity on two characters on the team, you'll only gain the ATK% buff once. That's how it's coded.

I like the team with Jean for bosses. You don't get kazuha's damage buff if you don't use his burst though.

Apparently with Furina Ayaka should try Hunter’s set, because in this way you still can have lots of elemental damage bonuses from Furina and Kazuha, set bonus for +36% CR and you will be free not to use cryo damage goblet. So, in fact Ayaka can wear atk%+atk% or atk%+ER. In the first scenario she will have huge attack bonus, in the second one up to 170-190 ER. I think this way of using her with Furina is more effective than with blizzard set and cryo damage goblet. Also she will always have the CR no matter is it boss fight or just a mobs crowd.
