@RangerRickTV I just posted a comment in the general section about taking items from homes on your adventures. Would love to hear your thoughts. Maybe even a video would be nice for your viewers who are collectors of lost/found goods!

From what I found on the internet/property and court records. The father and son went to prison in the early 2000’s for tax evasion and stealing city money (they own a plumbing company contracted to NYC) this was when the house was raided. The father continued to own the house and the house was fully furnished and put up for sale in 2019. It is now in pre foreclosure. The dad continued to own it from the 1990’s until foreclosure today, not able to sell it in 2019. Then the son did the same thing again and was just arrested Dec 2023. Not sure why the city would have hired them as contractors again after going to prison for that….. maybe the son continued to fund the dad and that is why it is just now going into foreclosure after being able to keep it after his issues in the early 2000’s. The dad is not listed in anything connected to what the son was just arrested for, just my thoughts from reading through everything.

Wow, Thank You for the your research and information. It explains why they left, it's not a mystery where the people went, and why they left their things like some homes we've seen. Thanks again! God Bless!!

@Joeypots ... Oh wow! What I would give for just a thousand now to get caught up on my mortgage and to know some people actually have this much money and more at that! But then again, what good is all of that denaro if you get caught and have to do time. Wondering if they buried some in the back yard or around the house? Sometimes the most obvious places to hide it is the last one would think to look. You were lucky to see and visit this beautiful mansion with the family there in its prime. Let me guess, I'll bet you got your name because you love to cook? 😉Sounds so mafioso which I like. Ciao y Dio Benedica 🙏

I have news for you. It is not 8 million dollars. I did research and this home is on Zillow in pre-forclosure for a little over 3,200,000 dollars. It was put up for sale fully furnished in 2019 but is now in pre-foreclosure. They are not tearing it down like you said. This house is in pretty great shape so I won't give the address out but it's not too hard for anyone to find if they do research on the internet/property and court records because the son was arrested again in Dec 2023 after being rehired by the city doing the same thing and caught doing the same thing.

The lower level rooms with the tiles and grape vines on the windows is a wine cellar and wine tasting room. The walls were lined with wine racks. You can see the outline of the racks when you look down at the floor along the bottom edge of the walls.

This was from the late 90’s, I assume since it was raided in the early 2000’s. They make it like they want, thinking they can change it like we change a painting. It’s only people like Michael Jordan who customize a house to their own ego to make it unsellable to literally anyone else. In these people’s defense it was just paint, I’m sure you had some art up at the time that was more tacky!

The shower @30:22 looked like it had a Mirror on the back wall , but I did not see you in the mirror ? So , is that another glass wall on the back wall of the shower , and you can see into another part of the room ? The Devil art , made me think he was luring the women by playing the flute . When you mention being happier in a bigger house , I think some people may be like me , and grew up poor , in small houses , with 3 bedrooms , or less , and 1 bathroom for 7 kids and 2 Adults . I just wanted what my friends had , 2 bathrooms , and my own bedroom , decent clothes , a Schwinn bike (never had anything but the cheapest Huffys) , etc . I planned for retirement , so I can afford to buy nicer stuff now , but health problems are making everything less enjoyable , so I don't spend much , even though I could .

This is a pure example of what money can bring you. They revitalised the old (pintings) and modernised it, but yet kept its eras. This is a huge space, well built, and someone put all their dreams into it. I still wonder about the wife and what happened to her. And i wonder about those tall shelves in the living area, if I may call it a living area. How were they going to put stuff up and down!? I never thought such a space existed.

Because of the design on the glass windows of that one basement room that you thought was a "sauna", I'm thinking it's the wine cellar. The glass had grapes 🍇 on it and there was what looked like a small refrigerator device on the wall to cool the room properly for the wines. With an Italian heritage family and a mansion that big there would most definitely be a wine cellar. That was it in my opinion and it also explains the tiles on the walls because it's a chilled room.
