I purchased the benelli lupo Be.s.t. black (the polymer stock version) one year ago and it performs amazing. It can shoot sub MOA factory ammo out of the box. I use it both for hunting amd for long range target shooting. The only downside is the lack of compatibility with aftermarket generic brand parts. Benelli doesn't have an e-commerce website, and the customizations are expensive and difficult to get.

i disagree with number 3 being the mossberg patriot predator. this rifle has alot of issues with feeding rounds into the chamber. i had one the action was so sloppy the bolt wouldnt pick up the second round. not a good rifle at all

I have tried three of the Mossbergs. Got rid of all three. None would hold better than a 4 inch group no matter the ammo tried. And I usually go to the range with at least 5 or more choices from different manufacturers. The rifles just did not perform. I would pick the TC Compass over the Mossberg offerings. Have shot at least 5 (own two myself) and those were all capable of sub moa.

Mossberg Patriots are the most frustrating rifle I've ever shot. It just simply will not shoot.

@@kool-kool then you got a good one. mine would group when i reviewed it, but would have trouble picking up a round from the mag. as a hunting rifle where you only need one shot, yea it does the job. but and i say but!! its luck of the draw if you get one that sucks!!

This list is a joke. There is definitely a few nice rifles on the list. But the names in several cases are mispronounced and apparently Weatherby is now spelled Smith and Wesson. And the Mossberg is on the list. Big pass. Even in bargain rifles there are far better choices.

@@eugenegress5896 Off this list. The Bergara. I also like the old standards. Ruger, Remington, Winchester, and Browning. Howa and the Weatherby Vanguard series would also be considered. Definitely a few European brands to consider too if those were more available here.

I wouldn't own any of them.I would buy a Winchester in the pre 64 action with a fiberglass stock.Otherwise a pre 64 action,match grade stainless barrel,Timney trigger and MacMillan fiberglass stock. If you're going to spend 3000 on a rifle you might as well build one with quality components.You can build a 2000 dollar rifle with all the components.You might want to pillar bed the barrel and action.
