We are a couple who once fell in love with mountains and couldn't get back. So we decided to follow our heart and move from a big city to a small village to be able to do what we love and to create this content. Our goal is to promote the healthy lifestyle, to motivate people to travel more and care for nature around. We are passionate walkers who love hiking, trekking and camping. We offer the detailed information of our hikes and routes, including the map and all the directions, so that you can repeat it if you'd like to.
We choose walking over driving and other types of transportation whenever we can because we learnt that this way we see so much more and can explore and feel the place better. Walking is an excellent activity that has so many benefits to your health and requires no special equipment or practice, so we encourage you to get the most out of it and get out walking.
We speak English, Spanish, French and Russian, so don't hesitate to address to us in your native language.

Beautiful video! We’re planning an early October trip to the Dolomites. Do you anticipate we’d need additional hiking equipment during that time of year?
@WalkingNatureWorld
@WalkingNatureWorld 2 жыл бұрын
Hello, thanks a lot! It depends on the year but normally in early October there isn't much snow even on the higher elevation. So having the trekking poles and good boots should be enough. Hope you have a great trip!

Hi, hope you had fun on your trip, sorry it took so long to reply. it really depends on the year the weather but we think it is totally doable with some warm clothes and good boots with trekking poles.

Hi, thanks a ton for this video! Just wanted to ask - for the hike from Passo Gardena to Selva - how do you get to Passo Gardena? I wish to stay around Col Raiser but cannot find a transport method from Col Raiser to the start location of the hike (Passo Galderna). Any advice? Thank you so much!
@WalkingNatureWorld
@WalkingNatureWorld 2 жыл бұрын
Hello, thank you for watching and commenting! We got to Passo Gardena from Pera di Fassa as there was a bus going there. Unfortunately we don't know the Col Raiser area much, but you may be able to find a way when you are there as we did. Hope you have a great time hiking! Let us know how it goes.

Hello, we stayed in the campgrounds and moved from one valley to the other by bus or train. You can find any important information about it at the touristic offices in most of the towns. Hope it helps.

But going by car we think is the best option there because Dolomites are so vast and it is always nice to have a flexibility when travelling.

Is it a bad idea to hike any of these trails in early April? We will be in northern Italy this spring and would love to include the Dolomites, but concerned there will be too much slushy snow requiring snow pants, snowshoes or crampons, etc which we don’t have.
@WalkingNatureWorld
@WalkingNatureWorld 2 жыл бұрын
Hi, Matt, we haven't been there in April and so can't tell you for sure. We ourselves live in Pyrenees mountains where the climate is somewhat similar to Dolomites and April here is still a cold month especially in the higher altitudes (more than 1700m) and there can be quite a bit of snow. Even so you may not need the showshoes, just warm clothes and good boots on some frequently hiked trails. It depends from year to year too but we still advice if you don't want to use any additional equipment to hike starting from May-June when it's for sure will be little snow left. Hope it helps.

@@WalkingNatureWorld thank you so much for your reply. I value your opinion since you’ve been to the Dolomites multiple times so this information is very helpful. Maybe I’ll just leave a few dates open during our trip to northern Italy and watch the weather. Maybe we’ll get lucky and there will be a stretch of warm, sunny weather we can take advantage of. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge and experience.

Which camping or campings would you recommend as a central starting point for these hikes?
@WalkingNatureWorld
@WalkingNatureWorld 2 жыл бұрын
Hi, almost every hike is in a different valley so we think it can be difficult to choose just one camping. But if you go by car to the starting points of every hike then Val di Fassa can be a good central point.
