I was seeing how you done the retron hd review showing the bad color pallet it has esp with wrestlemania challenge. the Castlevania 3 audio problems Tri Batman 2 Return of the Joker if it has audio problems as well it's because those two carts actually had an extra sound chip on the board that the emulator probably cannot mirror

The japanese CV3 did, not the NES version. Batman: Return of the Joker doesn't have an extra audio chip though. It does have the FME-7 chip, but that doesn't include extra audio. A modified version of the chip, called the 5B did, though that audio was only used in Gimmick!, nowhere else.

I just tested the 8-BIT SD and the audio for Castlevania III works just fine. Maybe trying hooking up the console through composite to see if maybe there is a problem with the HDMI port. I would find it strange if a company that advertised Castlevania III working on their original model wouldn't check for compatibility on their premium model.

The Castlevania III audio sounds like a classic case of a faulty NOAC chipset. I've seen this happen on a few RetroBit consoles as well and it appears to be a faulty audio section within the chipset causing some games to spew out garbage. You should probably contact GamerzTek about this and send them a video sample of the mangled audio.

I think Castlevania 3 used the MMC5 chip, so other games with that same chip might experience the same sound issues. Nintendo's MMC5 mapper provides extra sound output, consisting of two pulse wave channels and a PCM channel.

I own both this system and the AVS. If I had to do it over, I would save 100 more dollars to buy the AVS. Lag was an issue for me and game compatibility was lacking. When games did work, I found several where the music was off.

The Retron 5 is a cart dumper plus software emulator, so the compatibilty is very high. The GamerzTek console if Im correct is an ASIC and a very good one it seems, it is a more honest approach. I dont like the console design much, it kinda reminds me of the Yobo FC Game console. For the budget minded this paired with a multicart is a great option.

The music issues suck in Castlevania 3 but it's impressive nonetheless that they got the game up and running, most clones can't even boot the game up. Btw did you see if any other controllers work on it? Namely the Retrofighters Jab pad, that one is a must if I buy this. In any case, it seems the low audio issue has been addressed and fairly quickly too.

clone systems for the NES have been around, likely since the 80s...especially in the far east, I had a clone which was basically a black Famicom called a Scorpion which I bought about 20 odd years ago, another which looked exactly like a Famicom but called a Family Game😂
