You got the title right Riles, most of those calls are definitely bold. It seems that a few KZbinrs are making predictions at the moment and obviously most of them won't eventuate. A bold call from me is a Collingwood / Carlton Grand Final. The Pies are better than last year and the Baggers are ready for a huge year. I give your Swanies a real chance as well. They have really worked over their list superbly. I am pretty confident that the Dees will drop out as well. All good fun this and we will know a little more in just three weeks when it kicks off again.

As a Dockers supporter, agreed on the Jye Amiss call. He's gonna kick bags of goals. Off season he's put on about 4 kilos and in shape and will bethe leading goalscorer for Freo again this season. He's is going to be Fremantle's first Coleman Medalist someday.

Here are my 8 bold calls: 1. Adelaide has the longest winstreak of the season 2. Either Essendon, Hawthorn or the Western Bulldogs make the bottom 4 3. Oscar Allen and Nick Larkey combine to score 120 goals 4. Brisbane have 5 players make the AA team 5. Luke Berveridge gets sacked before Justin Longmuir. 6. No teams wins by over 100 points in the first half of the season 7. Essendon, GWS, Hawthorn, North Melbourne, St Kilda or Bulldogs win a game with a goal after the Siren 8. North become the last team to win their first game

North play freo at Marvel stadium in round 2. If they don't win that game, then I agree they won't win another game until after round 5 at the minimum.

Not sure if 6 is bold enough. If I really wanted to be bold, there would be a minimum of two bottom 4 teams making the eight this year. Another bold call I would have is that Sydney will drop out of the 8 or make the top 4. My only question is what are they going to bring after their GF loss and the subsequent ordinary season? My final bold call is that something will happen and Optus Stadium starts becoming a fortress again, not completely but will make teams think twice before being eager to travel there for some easy wins.

Some of my bold calls -Richmond completely bottom out and and win the spoon, similar to west coasts downfall -Trent Rivers breaks out and makes the AA team -One of Adelaide, Essendon or Gold Coast make the top 4 -Oscar Allen and Nick Larkey both kick 65+ goals -Longmuir and Bevo get sacked -Despite the hype Hawks are the same or worse as last year and finish bottom 4 again -Sam Walsh finally stays healthy and wins the brownlow -The grand final is decided by a match winning goal in the last 5 minutes

Geelong will continue their downward trajectory with the AFL’s oldest list. Dad’s Army veterans are all a year older, and no player gets better and faster with age. A lack of quality youth also coming through …

Agree with your thoughts about the Pussies but their list isn't the oldest in the AFL. That honor goes to the Premiers. In saying that however, the Pies oldies are still okay and they are supplemented with some class youngsters.

Richmond are a side I could see prove a lot of people wrong no doubt. If Lynch is fit, Dusty can continue his AA worthy form from the back half of last season, get their midfield mix right and execute better in their forward half, they can be a challenger for finals. But you can make a case for any bottom 10 side improving. There's gotta be teams on the down. Given their inexperienced youth, lack of depth & retirees from last year, they are one of the more likely teams to drop into the bottom 4. Each year their is always 2 new teams in the bottom 4, Tigers I see being one of them. Optimistic on north to pick up some results as well, hence I think there could be the chance that north finish above em. Its a bold call at the end of the day, was expected to get a reaction like yours don't blame ya. 😅

@@paulboyd9171 There is quite some debate on who does finish higher out of west coast & north. Both sides were decimated by injury last year. North have some shining talent coming through and are two years ahead on the rebuild compared to west coast which is why I think their only way is up. Also their last 6 weeks of footy from 2023 was pretty decent, which can translate into a better season. Both teams still are the favorites for the bottom 2 at the end of the day, but you can make a case for either side potentially pushing out of that zone.
