In Australia (ik the question was directed towards the euros) inflation has been hitting us pretty hard too. Some study got published a bit ago showing we had some of the worst real wage growth over the past financial year (It was something like -5.x%), and due to having a supermarket dualopoly, price gouging has become that bad that we've had a royal inquiry (think massive investigation lead by the feds) into it... Good luck with the daughter! Hopefully the economy improves sometime soon, although I doubt it will...

Part of why eggs prices went up so much is due to a chicken epidemic. I think. Honestly, I havent looked into it in a while.

I feel the pain of that Grocery bill loop. It's been haunting me throughout most of my adult life. Local Minimum Wage: *Goes up 10% of what it currently is.* Grocery Stores: "So that means we can now increase our prices 33% right?" "Man, the poor people are suffering, we should increase minimum wage again..." Grocery Stores: *already readied the price gun* It's such a strange tie in that I wince every time now that I see a new measure raising the wages go through because I know I'll end up poorer on the other side...
