#8 Drill String Valves & IBOP's

Drillstring valves prevent the fluid inside the drillstring to travel up to the surface. Without these valves, the rigcrew personnel are unprotected from fluid backflow, espcially during kicks. Drillstring valves consists of:
1. IBOP - Inside Blowout Preventer
Types: a. Drop-In Valve (DIV)
b. Heavy Duty Check Valve or Gray Valve
c. Float Valve
2. Upper Kelly Cock and Lower Kelly Cock
3. FOSV - Full Opening Safety Valve
4. Float Valve
