As a new rider myself and being an avid gym enthusiast I can say for certain riding is tiring! After a 40 minute ride to work my first few times out I was tired as hell, my calves and quads were sore and my chest and shoulders felt it, it takes a bit of endurance and strength to ride until you're used to it, great video!

At age 75 I just bought road bike. A BMW r850r. I reckon I can do with some exercising. Thanks for the tips.

Hey Kat!! We were just in Atlanta with another great group of coaches. (the weather was bad though, cold and rainy on Fri and Sat. Sun we had a good turnout) Hopefully I will see you at another event someday :)

@@moniquefilips1000 I really hope we meet up again some day. Loved spending time with you and the whole team! Glad we gave you better weather for the fun but I'm glad folks were there to make it a good event. Take good care of yourself!

How often would you do this workout? Once a week or twice or more?
@moniquefilips10004 ай бұрын
I would recommend 2-3 times per week if you are not doing too much other exercises

First time on the back of a bike in 30 years and my hips and hip flexors were in agony, I'm worried for when I take my test if my hip area will need strength work, any advice?
@moniquefilips1000 Жыл бұрын
Sounds like your hip flexors were working too hard. You need to work on your glutes!! As we get older that gets weaker (especially glute medius) and our hip flexors get tighter. I would recommend Pilates. It really helps balance us out. Until then standing hip extension, supine hip ext, and stretch the front of your hip and quad.
