Thank you so much!!! We hope to help out others that found as big of an information gap as we did.

Gorgeous sailing footage. I could watch that forever. You are sailing like pros now.

We are so glad you enjoyed it! We appreciate the encouragement. We are trying to determine if longer sailing clips are better than short ones, what do you prefer?

@@pdgadventures 👍👍 // THANKS FOR THE RESPONSE !! I INTEND TO WATCH ALL OF YOUR FUTURE CONTENT. HOWEVER, MOST PEOPLE LHAVE EXTREMELY BUSY LIVES, SO, VIDEO CLIPS THAT ARE ‘15 - 20 MINUTES OR LESS” ARE AN AVERAGE AMOUNT OF TIME THAT CAN HONESTLY BE DEVOTED TO WATCHING A KZbin VIDEO FROM BEGINNING TO END (IMO). LENGTHY EPISODES OF LONG PASSAGES / EXCURSIONS / &/or BONUS CONTENT IS A ‘MUST DO’ EVERY ONCE INA WHILE TO KEEP US SUBSCRIBERS (& FOLLOWERS) ENTERTAINED ✨

@@reynadelrey agree 💯 with that. We've seen some other folks post 60-90min videos and we're like "ok we gotta schedule some time for all that!" Or at least break it up into 2-3 sessions. I think we're aiming for around 20min per episode +/- 5min or so.

You certainly seem to be having fun with the boat, how does Winston like being aboard?
@pdgadventures10 ай бұрын
He's adapting quite well we think. While not a big fan of the water he's taken to the routine and challenges pretty good. He still loves getting to shore for a beach run and spending as much time with all four paws on solid ground as possible! 😂

Not sure why you would make a video about deploying a sail but then not deploying it. I can see how you rigged it but I didn't see the sail being put to work.

Ya know that's a great point. We do open it up in the end but you're right, the viewer never does get to see us actually fly it. We will re-name it to more accurately reflect what occurs in the video. Hope to see you stop by the channel again soon!

@@pdgadventures My apologies, I watched again and I saw that brief unfurling but I hoped to see that sail in use, to better understand "screecher" (my home is a mono and it seems to be a variant of code-0 specific to multihulls). Please correct me if I have it wrong, but this sail is intended to stay raised and furled (so the UV strips) and to provide upwind lift in lighter airs than your self-tacking headsail can provide. I would've liked to see the shape of that sail in use though.

@@ianb4801 in the "Don't Rock Passage" video (link below) kzbin.info/www/bejne/kGKUh6ljqr2mqZIsi=RdFQbN7YNkOVzrOQ We do have a short clip, maybe 30 seconds or so, of it flying. And you are essentially correct about it being in the Code Family. Not sure what it is but it's almost like a Code 0 and Genoa had a baby. Its upwind performance isn't great, probably best just forward of a beam reach but its sweet spot is a broad reach. But there again what isn't sweet about a broad reach??? We keep it up most of the time but since it's not on a hard furl we will stow it if the wind looks like it's gonna get above 20-25kts. We've heard some horror stories from friends that had it go sideways on them, so an ounce of prevention, right?!
