Upholstery is a dying art. It all is assembly line here in America. I was lucky to spend about 5 years learning from a master upholsterer!! I am now retired at 70. Wished I had someone to pass on the knowledge and skill of my pass 40 years of work!!

The difference with this channel has always been the quality of the boat restoration. Never a bodge or slap some paint on and fix it later. It is done right to a very high standard the first time. I loved this episode! I found you when you were traveling thru the canals in Europe and have been a loyal watcher ever since! I am 68 years old and have never, ever been on a sailboat and I doubt I ever will. So I live that fantasy travel life thru you Maya and Aldino. Can I just say I got a little teary eyed when your friend was waving goodbye as you set off on your summer of sailing! I can’t wait to see what adventures to bring to us in the future!

I noticed many times that average age of people sailing in Netherlands is 50+. I saw 70 years old people sailing single handed. There is no reason why you shouldn't try it.

Well, I have to confess, I didn't watch all the refit episodes. Surprised to see a tiller ! She's absolutely beautiful. The view at 10:30 shows how unusual the design is with the amazing high bow ! I had no clue she would look like that. Beautiful work with the wood. I cannot wait for the music to begin to be performed again !

That beep and the engine starting always was the start of great sailing weekends with my dad, brother and son. It made me instantly tear up. My dad passed away last year and my mother had to sell the boat. Enjoy this as much as you can guys! Soak up every moment. I hope to set sail somewhere in the near future again. This was a fun series to watch, with the little trips in my beloved little country.
