my first maplestory character was a warrior (with int added) because I had no idea how stats work and what stats I need. I only managed to get to lvl 21 which was considered really good for me, and I genuinely had fun. There was nothing about funding, dmg, etc. I was really just having fun exploring random maps and killing mobs (with disgustingly low damage)

I really miss the family system. And yeah zak was hard back in the day. I was in the guild called benevolence. We would raid Zack and sell helmets. It was so fun getting together and working as a team in order to defeat ask. Also I was fortunate to be the second bishop in scania to obtain the genesis skill shortly after HT came out. People would actually follow me around and watch in amazement as I spammed genesis. It felt awsome.

I remember PvP, it was actually really fun and you could also level up by doing it. Dual blade was really op in pvp as well so I was just destroying people most of the time :P. I actually did it enough to get the PvP Armor set which increased your dmg in PvP.

Ahh Maplestory... some of my best memories were in this game. Sadly I quit in 2012, but I remember all of these things. I remember for the Bellocan server, HealingDave was one of the biggest families. And I also remember there was the the other hog, silver colored. And PVP was fun when it first came out just because of how broken it was, but still fun. I cant get into maplestory now just because of how different it is, but hopefully I will make new adventures in maplestory 2

I remember Orbis PQ - you'd have to smuggle in items by disconnecting your internet router, press pick up, and quickly plug back in your router. It was the most difficult thing ever, because if you left the internet router out for too long, you would D/C in game. It had to be disconnected for just the right amount of time.

Also, waiting for the ship to Orbis was so long and when you get on the ship, everyone hides in hopes of some hero killing the Jr.Balrogs. Or even peeking out from the bottom of the ship was fun too. There was this path from Henesys to Sleepywood and you would have to jump on platforms to avoid the mobs from below. I remember people (including myself) dropping mesos and luring them over and some of them would drop down and die. I can't wait for MapleStory 2 and the new experiences to come :)

this one time (around 2006, 2007) my brother and I followed some type of mage, lvl 102 with a random string of numbers/letters in Leafre because we wanted to see horntail haha. For a couple hours we trekked with him across dangerous maps, only to realize there were prerequisites to actually enter horntail's cave. We were just messing around but had such a good time, i think that was the heart of maplestory.

Level 20 Blue Mushroom- the killing machine of lost players. Iron Pig too. Mushmom. Coppersan's trailer for a comedy show in Maplestory(hint: ''GIANT NOOB SUMMON!''). Maplestory comedy collabs(that blue-haired girl-dude was pretty popular). Maplestory being used as a way to make cheesy deep stories on KZbin(like that one that was based on Orbis' territory, with like a guy named Lupin and etc.). Secret Golem area in old Sleepywood that was a good grinding area for people with AoE skills like old Bowman and Mages. And most importantly: Coppersan once being in my Skype friend's list....goood times.
