Ever noticed everything bad happens in or near a clearing?

Yeah odd isn't it? But something strange I dealt with may have caused a clearing. There was this old tree in the woods near where I used to live. The branches went off in all kinds of odd directions. The tree for some reason always made me uncomfortable to look at. One day me and a friend decided to walk in the woods behind where I lived. As we got closer to the tree there was a ring of ground that was entirely clear of anything except dirt. No leaves or anything. Everything was silent as we got closer, squirrels wouldn't even go near the area, and as we got closer to the tree I noticed there weren't even insects crawling on the tree. I saw a flock of birds overhead split briefly as they got close to where it would be too.

P.S. I don’t know about other states, but here in Texas when selling a home one knows is spiritually disturbed, if you don’t disclose before you sell you can be sued like crazy. Just like if you know it has mold, a bad roof or foundation issues etc. I kind of like that.

Well if they're like us then they probably do. I mean I like to think I'm aware when I smell sweaty or gross. 😅 they could also perceive smells differently than us, like animals sometimes do. My cat will gag if you let her sniff some perfumed items but other things like a scented candle she likes. Maybe to them their smelly smell is actually their version of old spice and they think it smells good. They never go out without spritzing their "Deathly Decay & Garbage Juice" perfume. 😮

As a Cryptid expert I'll do my best. Hundreds of people go missing in the woods and are never found and most Cryptids are very good at separating people from large groups. And guns don't work on Cryptids but if you to shoot it aim and fire at the knees than run.

For story 1, I can say with certainty that that was no Wendigo. They cannot shapeshift, and they’ll look like pale humans with elongated limbs (that’s just a rough idea of what it looks like though). Someone correct if I’m wrong on this part though: it was either a not-deer (most likely), or a Skinwalker.

Pop culture has basically combined Wendigo and Skinwalkers into one being. Largely due to lack of knowledge of native cultures. But much of what was described screams Skinwalker. The stench mentioned is something truthfully attributed commonly to Skinwalkers but the appearance sounds somewhat wendigo.

Gimme the rundown on Wechuge? Never heard of it, sounds interesting. Also yes, "Wendigo/ Skinwalkers" were once just native tales, but have blown so massively out of proportion thanks to the internet, that everyone thinks the bumps in the night are them. It's kind if annoying, honestly. Not all the woodland creatures are cannibal spirits or native American witches.

Its so annoying that people make up stories about wendigos based upon a fake cheap Hollywood production. Wendigos can turn only into a white owl. They look like frozen starved person. (or rather dead body moved be a force from outside of this. Something like a cannibal-zombie-witch. They dpn't spook you in the forest. They come when you are in despair to posess or eat you, appearing near/on tour house and in your dreams. Some people think its a curse because they've beeen seeing it in dreams as a child, by his window, and he checked his genealogy and it showed that he's a ancestor of the collonial town that were trying to survive harsh winter alongsde with indigenous ams, and probbly cannibalized few corpses, and its one of the first wendigo legends. And he had a tiny fraction of indigenous dna, and remembers time before he ws born and semt by shaman seeing his incarnation and the gruesome images. He remembers that he chose it, and he didn't know about wendigos after about 20 years of opression.

Yeah people get werewolves skinwalkers and dog men confused they're not all the same thing they're all different if it's that big it's one of two things either a true werewolf or the thing that causes werewolves but I digress all of them die if you take their head which don't take much really 12 gauge solid slug not lead but casted as in dangerous game slug still lead but not pure LED hardened the whole silver thing may or may not work if you ever shot anything with silver or seen with silver does as a projectile yeah yeah exactly what you would expect but if I'm large enough caliber it should work with enough energy behind it but then again enough energy behind pretty much any projectile is going to do the job nothing God or the devil has ever created can withstand the potency the destructive force of what man has created as long as you put the right round and the right spot everything dies nothing enough bullets can't cure😮😂
