This has to be my most anticipated weekly youtube channel. For many of us with a passion for fishing, this is a great channel. Very clever ideas and almost always trying to bring up ideas that just about anyone can do. I can't wait to see what's next. Many thanks for all the effort you put into your channel.... Joe from Augusta Georgia...

This has become my second favorite KZbin channel, even though I don't get to fish much any more because I'm 81, and I've slowed down a whole bunch. But it's also one of the funniest channels out there, especially if you turn on the CC to get the captioning! What that automatic captioning does to that accent of yours is often hilarious! (That means funny!) Know what I'm sayiin'? :-)

I've been making spoons out of plastic and metal spoons. For at least 45 years, from the age of 12 years old. I watched someone who had been making them, years before me. Here in the UK. I would tend to use a T bar, for unhooking fish. That way your not scratching your hook and using the fishes weigh to remove the hook. Little tip also for spotting your knot in your anchor line. Spray it white, use bright shrink tubing or pass a bright coloured line through the knot and tie in. I really enjoy your fishing hacks and have made some reel covers. Using your design. Take care, stay safe. Tight line! David

Great video; that's the first time I ever saw anybody make a spoon out of a spoon. The best way to keep your anchor rope from tangling up is to store it in a bucket and flake the rope into the bucket(don't coil it). When you flake the rope into the bucket it'll come right back out the same way it went in and won't tangle. You could throw the anchor overboard and the rope would flake right out without tangling. Just make sure it's not around anything you don't want to get jerked out of the boat. Oh and make sure the end is tied off to the boat.
@FishinNStuff
@FishinNStuff 4 жыл бұрын
Your right that's the best way to do it . I sure mine coiled because I have an anchor locker and can't do it like that . But while I'm fishing I do the same thing minus the bucket
@Scott.Farkus
@Scott.Farkus 4 жыл бұрын
@@FishinNStuff I like to flake the rope back into the bucket when I pull anchor, because it keeps the rope flaked nice and neat. If I flake it on the floor of the boat it can get tangled in the other stuff I have tangled on the floor of the boat.

Great video again! Figuring out the hook issues was really using your head brother! I'll change to new hooks a lot more now! Also the spoon trick is something the old timers who fish Lake Michigan here in Chicago swear buy. They slay the Coho and King salmon on them. Happy Fishing!

That plasti dip on your pliers is a great idea. I've got an antique pair of smooth flat tip pliers that have been passed down to me from over 3 generations and they are used to prevent the score marks on your hooks and eliminate breaking.

Good video! Always captivating to watch. You gotta roll the circle hooks out the same way they went in to avoid damage....

I prefer sporks over spoons. Fish are used to seeing spoons, but ain't never seen nothing like a spork. They can't resist!

I used the same stuff for rod socks. The seal the end I just folded over the end, heated up some pliers with a torch and squished the end to seal it👍🏼

I love the draggin weights dipped in Plasti-dip. I've made em for years using hollow core boot laces and sz 5 split shot sewn shut on each and. Your method is so much easier. Also, if I'm fishing where I know there's lots of bad snags I'll use old spark plugs for weights. If you lose one of those nothing really lost. A 2 or 3 oz lead weight cost good money unless you make your own. Throw the old spark plugs in a tub of soapy water then rinse to get grease and oil off before using them. DON'T POLLUTE WITH PETROLEUM PRODUCTS.
