I had a chance to drive a W213 and one of the things I liked the most was the ability to pull the headrest forward, very comfortable. I've driven my W212 since 2016, have 90k miles on it and I just found out you can pull the headrests forward on these models too. I'm almost in tears. From kicking myself in the ass. Thank you.

Older models had a feature called "tunnel mode" that was removed from newer cars since nobody ever knew the cars had it. It's a single button that closes all windows and the sunroof and puts the ac on recycle. The idea is you would put the car in this mode before driving through a tunnel so you wouldn't breath in all the emissions from the other cars The way you would activate it is by pressing and holding the recycle button for the ac. The car also remembers the last position you had all the windows in so when you want to open everything up again you just press and hold the recycle button again. I actually use this feature a lot on my 07 E Class but my parent's 2018 and 2022 GLEs didn't have it.

It was not removed. Only now it’s in vehicles with keyless features. Which after the facelift of the c class every car had it again.

Great video! Just I think open and lock the window only works when you are really near as this is done via the infrared connection of the key and the door. So it wouldn't work from behind the car.

My W212 has covered 135,000 miles and the rear subframe failed, Mercedes changed the part FOR FREE even though the car is now 10 years old, its a known defect, a dangerous one too !!!!! Thanks for the video i have a saloon but some of the items shown will no doubt work.

hello, a question: most Mercedes models with built-in telephone, are equipped with UHI connector and a cradle for a specific model and brand (eg Siemens S75). Is there an inexpensive solution to replace the cradle with a reducer where the UHI connector can be connected directly to an iPhone 7? or is there a diagram to make this yourself, and if necessary to connect via a bluetooth module? I actually knew all of them (like the windows, VAG cars also have) except the residue heat function, no idea what it is good for though.

It makes use of the residual heat from engine to continuous heat the vehicle for approximately 30 min. I use it almost every day over here in the cold climate when we take car for shopping it’s nice to come back to the car and its not icy inside!

The residual heat function is only available with THERMOTRONIC Saloon without the boot lid convenience closing feature can only open inside, can't close Vehicles without KEYLESS-GO need to point the tip of the key at the door handle on the driver's door, but only need to be close to the vehicle otherwise

Yess but buttons it’s in trunk! It keep blowing heat from engine up to 30 min after turning car off, it’s really good here in cold climate.

What u do with AC, I didn't get it.. Opening window with key remote I believe everyone knows it.. Opening and closing trunk is only possible in a Mercedes which has power closings features or button on the truck..

Thanks for the reply! The AC think its restore heat from the engine, think it may not be all models only for the colder climate. Really good if you stay in some place you put it on and it use the restored heat from the engine for like 30 mins.

@@MB212 thanks for your quick reply, yes we don't have it because Indian climate is not cold, but we have Rest button next to AC button, one can start fan when car's ignition is off.. We don't have ventilated seat too u r lucky.. We have normal cigarette lighter not 12V in front of the vehicle but we have 12v behind the center armrests for rear passenger but in my car I have tried to charge my phone but I think it's not working.. Next time whenever I visit service center I will ask them about it

@@MB212 I never used 12V so I don't know from when it's not working..I thought normal mobile charger don't work in it.. Every time when I visit service center I forgot to ask them about it.. You have got many features then we got in India as our tax on luxury cars are too high so car manufacturers remove some features to bring price down.. In comparison to USA and UAE we get luxury car @ double price with less features. Yes, but in India people are buying it at any cost.. Now a days many people afford to buy cars and luxury cars getting popular.. In 20-25 years back we can see few BMW or Mercedes on the road but now it's everywhere.

Interesting information did not know it was so different over there! Can think you go many old E-Class w124 etc over there? But we go really high taxes for gas here 1 liter diesel cost about 2$.
