My over the stove microwave went up a couple months ago. Instead of buying a new one right away, I decided to do what people did before they had a microwave. Use the stove top and oven to reheat /cook food. I also use the air fryer. I will purchase another one as soon as my car is paid for in November.

Luckily this year, I didn't have to replace any small appliances. By using free/recycle groups, I replaced for free my vacuum cleaner, steamer, juicer, immersion blender, mini chopper and I got floor cushions and a bed frame. And some wooden slats to make planters and shelving. All for free. All I need was to collect. There are always people getting rid of. I am grateful as I saved thousands. And with 3 months of clothes in total, every season, I rediscover clothes I haven't worn in sometimes years. It is like hsving new clothes, without spending a cent.

Great idea about the eating out of my fridge for a week. I started that yesterday because I have too much food. And I am not shopping for anything. Thank you and please bring us more of your contents. We look forward to them. 😊

Yes! I do this every few months and I'm always surprised by the amount of extra food we have. Thank you for watching!

Hurricane Milton hit us here in Florida and for three days I had no electricity but I did have a generator. This week I'm going to take the advice of eating out my fridge and go through all these cookbooks I have and see what kind of interesting recipes they have for chicken. 😃

@@iampoetminor hope you only lost power. My cousin is in Tampa and she had some damage but has a generator for power. Good luck.
I needed to replace my smoke detectors and purchase new ones with carbon monoxide detectors. I reached out to a company to replace mine. With a 2 minute search I realized that I could purchase new ones and replace them easily myself!

Thanks so much for taking the time to share these insights. I especially like the guest bedroom idea. My NY family visits me twice a year and I just didn't want to invest in a bedroom set for the guest bedroom because I use it my creative art work. The idea of a dresser/bed is perfect! I've subscribed to make sure I don't miss any more good content.

My husband and I are thinking that we live tinny. That way, we only buy what is absolutely necessary. We have not buy much of anything for months.
