Right?! It's funny, I play with a handful of guys who are scratch or better and they all go about it in their own way. Nash never looks like he's taking a big rip at the ball but he's consistent and his distances - while not *the* longest - are pretty impressive.

I'm torn on this format. I do enjoy the flyover, but I fear for longer videos. The 7-8 min vids are great. 10 was within reason. If they start going beyond that they just won't be as easy to consume. Also, I'd love even more content from you. You're probably my favorite golf channel currently. Have you considered Patreon or collaborating with other bigger channels to increase your reach and subscribers?

Like that I'm getting two players for the price of one, but be a bit careful that you don't overdo the "extras" - like the flyover etc. One of the reasons that I (at least) like your videos are that they are short enough to be easily consumed. Don't extend the length of the video, is basically what I am requesting 👍

Hey Adam, just wondering what irons your using, lofts etc? Seems like you should be hitting it a lot farther and just curious if they might be weak lofted clubs?
@NotAScratchGolfer3 жыл бұрын
Hi Kian! Every now and again I take a lesson and I've learned that I "scoop" with my irons and add a ton of dynamic loft. My irons are Mizuno JPX 900 Forged, so not strong lofts but certainly not weak lofts either. In my case, I think it's the handyman and not the tools that are the problem :p

@@NotAScratchGolfer yeah I noticed that with your 5i and 6i, it looks like you hit it really high so that would make sense especially if they are standard lofted clubs. How long do courses close in Vancouver over winter? And what does the average joe do to keep sharp on the golf front?
@davekennedy86263 жыл бұрын
Most courses do not close. We rarely get snow but sometimes courses have frost delays or temporary greens. The grass stays green so we put on a jacket and head out. A few years ago I golfed at least once a week all winter.

The Ridge course at Northview is tricky but kept in such great shape. The "tricky" bit can be overcome by playing with someone who knows their way around the course as some shots are blind or damned near it. I did NOT have that help when I played there early this season, so I will blame my poor score on that. Going for the green off the tee on 8 is silly but fun. Getting par by going around the horn is pretty easy but going for it is special - as long as you don't mind donating a ball to the water monsters.
