Such an excellent gift guide, Aimee. I'm definitely adding some of these books to my wishlist, thank you! I have 2 of the books you mention, Fleece&Fiber Sourcebook and MiniPom (love them both so much!), as well as a subscription to Ply magazine. It's such an amazing resource. I can't wait for their Weft magazine to be published! I'm a tiny-baby-weaver 😀 weaving on a rigid heddle and Inkle looms, but I'm currently saving for a floor loom. The "green book" is on my future wishlist! I would also recommend: - Yarnitecture (you'd mentioned it in the video as well) and Spinner's Book of Yarn Designs for spinners; - The Weaver's Idea Book and Inventive Weaver on a Small Loom for rigid heddle weavers; - The Inkle Pattern Directory for inkle weavers; - Mouche & Friends for knitters who love MiniPom and all the adorable little creatures; - Portuguese Knitting by Rosa Pomar for knitters interested in historical aspects of knitting in Portugal and Iberian Peninsula. Oh, and a subscription to School of SweetGeorgia, it's such a good one!

That’s a great collection of books. An additional one I’ve found helpful for a spinner who is venturing into choosing and working with fleeces, or who is exploring different breeds to spin, is The Spinner’s Book of Fleece by Beth Smith. Very helpful for getting a start on choosing how to approach processing, spinning, and knitting different categories of sheep breeds. Thanks for sharing your recommendations, Aimee! harpingJanet

This reminds me of how as a kid I would get books for crafts that I would never be able to do (mosaic tiling, clay sculpture, stop-motion animation come to mind). It was a wonderful way to learn about all these crafts that Id never considered. This video is a great reminder to keep an eye out for these again!

I loooove reading through those! But eventually I did get around to knit and spin and weave so this might get one in trouble.. hahaha
