its sad how these beautiful creatures are visualized as monsters. (in Tv shows, movies, comics.etc) When I was a kid, I was always afraid of sharks, specifically the Great Whites. As I slowly start watching documentaries about these creatures I began to fall in love with them. I would love to one day see one in person. That would be amazing ❤

Great Whites are dangerous, but they really won't hurt you unless you hurt them first. They can be ungodly big and have bear-trap jaws, but they'll gladly swim past you rather than take a chunk out of your side. Truly some marvelous creatures 🦈

Ngl I used to be scared of sharks specifically Great Whites. The size of them, their presence but I also held great respect for them. Watching this video did show a different side to them that I think lots of people miss. Yes they are predators, yes they are big and yes they can eat you. But they are majestic and powerful and worth knowing about and above all: respecting. They are not malevolent monsters like one sees in movies. They are just living in the environment they are designed to live in. Who are we to call them monsters?

Exactly! Precisely how I think! Glad to see other like minded persons here in the comment section. Humans aren't even accustomed to being in the water for long, especially the untamed oceans & seas all around us. Sometimes us humans let our ambition and pride take a hold of us and it blinds us to the greater beauty held outside of our safe zones. Just because a few sharks attack humans in rare instances doesn't mean they should be hunted down into exstinction, let alone be considered monsters or malevolent creatures thirsty for human blood. They are gorgeous and amazing creatures that I admire and love. If reincarnation is real in the afterlife I wish to become a great white shark. Might be a little weird ending on that note but I'm serious haha!

Thanks for this upload! This is really the way people should see sharks, and the way I think little kids should be introduced to sharks also- this is like 99% of what sharks do in their life, just swim around calmly and do shark things, and only eat something every couple of days when they need it. Most sharks will never bite anyone during their lifetime, and many sharks will never even see a human. It's unbelievable that all the sharks in my shark books when I was a little kid are all endangered now, that was only 30 years ago. I really hope they can start being seen with more respect like this, and that maybe it'll help with better fishing restrictions/equipment to keep them safer, and stop doing culls in the places where they've been doing that.

They certainly are receiving the respect they deserve. At mg local grocery store there are so many shark plushies, books, and other things in their likeness. People are also leaving behind their irrational fear of them. I think they will be okay 👍

I lost my mom in March of 2021, my best friend …. Her favorite animal is great white sharks. She is forever my great white shark. I have trouble sleeping. She loved the ocean so I listen to bunch of ocean music…. But today I had hard time sleeping. I ask my mom to plz help me. Sharks are by definition literal predators. It's an animal that actively preys on other animals. That is a predator. I get what you're saying sharks are greatly misunderstood and their true danger is exaggerated by the media. But saying they aren't predators is straight up ignorant.

@@GreatEscapes Ooooh, Fantastic!!! Not sure what kind you might have seen, however, something to note. Around Sea Snakes, don't wear the color blue!! Sea Kraits, a type of Sea Snake, are known go become super curious to the color blue. It doesn't provoke them, however you wouldn't exactly want one getting up super close, as a bite underwater could be catastrophic. Hope the little tip helps, lol!!

Im autistic sharks are my special intrest (aswell as rabbits and animal care/biology and a show) they are so deeply misunderstood which is how i feel alot of the time i love how every shark breed is unique with some being flatter smaller some being able to glow even if we cant see it there tails being smaller and bigger some not even having a second dorsal fins some sharks only eating plankton and smaller fish its beautiful you should be warey around them obviously but they can sence your heartbeat through vibrations i belive and they think you are a seal or food you must be calm around them and u can always place your hand on there snout and glid them away mostly with tiger sharks ❤

Ever since first grade, I was fascinated with sharks by their large sizes, their fierce behaviors, and the fact they are apex predators of the ocean. Despite their fearsome reputation, looking at them casually swimming in their environment is really peaceful and puts me at ease. It shows that even an apex predator like it does not always have to do something predatory to be interesting or admire.
