FFVIII is my favorite FF, a soundtrack that’s quite underrated. This track + Eyes on Me with all its versions takes me to the good old days when I was a bit of a gamer. I’m 32 now and I still go back to FFVIII videos and music, after all these years! Thank you for uploading this with the beach waves, it’s great for falling asleep to. Makes me tear up a bit/feel sentimental. Thank you thank you ❤️‍🔥

This was my first and favorite Final Fantasy game and there were so many memories attached whenever I think of the times I played this on my PS. I was 11-12 y/o back then. Now Im 35 and I hope they give us a remake of VIII just like what they did for VII, while Im still alive and able to play videogames. Lol. A girl can dream.

FF9 is all but confirmed to get a remake, so I suspect 8 will get the same treatment down the line. Allthough I heard they lost the source code for the game, so it's gonna take a while in any case.

Listening to this always takes me back to being a kiddo. I was maybe 11 or 12 when I played this the first time. I'm in my mid 30's now...what I would not give to be sitting home on Christmas break at 12 with this game in front of me for hours on end. No worries...no stress...full of wonder and excitement about what is going to happen next. Getting older is great in some ways...but I yearn for my youth.

Very understandable but I'd warn against that kind of thinking. Hope for the future is more important ( and healthier) than longing for the past.. we also tend to look at the past through rose tinted glasses. You're only in your mid thirties like me.. let's work to create a great potential for the next decade... work hard enough and strategize...you may find yourself at 46 years old able to just chill out and play more awesome games lol

This track randomly pops up in my head once every few months. Thank you for compiling these background locales and adding in the town SFx. Square RPGs have extremely memorable area/town themes. They might be simple pieces of music but once you experience them, they have a tendency to stay with you for a very long time.

Didn't realize this was new all the comments are relatively new, I always love these types of videos everyone's always sharing what feels like distilled nostalgia. I actually bought this game for the PC for the first time when you could still buy game CDs. I saw it on a shelf in our local circuit city and grabbed it because I liked the box art and it was on sale. I could only play on the weekends so completing the game felt like it took forever but it always gave me something to look forward to at the end of the week.
