Great video ..Real mechanic, no gloves.. Just a tip ..When you screw in the main jet, tighten it, then loosen it..Do this a few times and it will help to seat it better..

Excellent video !! thank you very very very much! I just started getting into this carburetor and I figured something wasn't right, and lo and behold there was your video! You taking your time you didn't speed through things or gloss over facts no matter how simple they may have been, and that made this the perfect video! Better than most other videos on KZbin, we're guys assume that their viewers no certain techniques or what may appear simple to them as they gloss over it by stopping the video and picking up somewhere else. That usually leaves me with my jaw hanging open screaming, that's the part I needed to know! Thank you very much!

The best video on these carbs that I’ve seen. I like how you lay it all out in “country folk” language so us “hillbillies” can understand you. 😂 A great video that shows how to do it right !!!!

That was a perfect tutorial, Stan! They don't get better'n that! I liked the home-made screwdriver. I've made or modifed a lot of tools get the job done. I have to admit that I'm a bit envious of your steady hands. :-) Thanks for showing us how to do it.

On gravity feed fuel systems you should stick with the fuel screens. You don't want to use a paper fuel filter element for gravity feed because the fuel can get hung up in the paper element. The red Briggs & Stratton 298090S fuel screen on your tiller is 150 microns. The White Briggs & Stratton 394358S fuel screen that I run on my tiller is a 75 micron element. Not sure that they make a finer mesh screen element than 75. Running a slosh of E0 Synthetic oil 2 stroke fuel in an empty tank just before storage is not a bad idea. It'll keep the tank and float bowel from rusting as quickly and Zero Ethanol fuel won't turn to goo as fast as E10 or E15.

Might be useful to mention a couple of steps between removing a gasoline-filled carburetor and hitting it with a torch. Somebody's lawyer will think he won the lottery when he sees this.
