back in the day when i used these type of ice trays, i always run warm water accross the bottom of the tray before trying to pop the cube divider, just a few seconds will loosen it right up, gotta know the tricks, less water helps too, love the gadgets.

I know I'm late ...but for the first "vintage ones"...run the back side of each under hot water for a few seconds then pull up the handle or twist the cube trays. I had them when I was young in the 1970's
