I drove a Hudson at a car auction once. It was pretty cool, but I don't know if I'd want it for a daily driver.

Loved AMC - had a 63 Rambler Classic with a 3 on the tree and a six. Loved it but it had two too many doors. Renault - pronounced RAY-no. :p

poor timing Poor Management are some reasons these car brands no longer exist Saab Saturn Oldsmobile Pontiac among others. the last Mercury off the Assembly line on Jan 4th 2011 was a grand marquis both of my parents got their drivers licenses in an Oldsmobile dad in a 1974 Cutlass S with a 455 V8 engine and mom and a 1978 Delta 88 with the 350 Ci V8 under hood the Fiero debuted for the 1984 Model year and the Aztek for the 2000 model year and the later was canceled in 2005 for poor sales selling less than 120k in a 6 year model run where as Pontiacs longest production car was the Bonneville 1958-2005 47 years the three longest produced models for Chevrolet are the Suburban 90 yrs. the Corvette 72 yrs. and the Impala 59 years top 3 longest produced nameplates for Toyota are Land Cruiser 74 years Corolla 56 years and Camry 42 years in the US Camry has been the top selling sedan in its class for nearly 30 years since 1997 and since debut 1983 model year has sold about 14 million units in the US alone
