8 inch Double Fold Voigt Pipe Speaker

Build and sound test of my experimental double fold Voigt Pipe. Actually design number 3 and 4. I haven't done a video of 2 yet because it didn't sound great.
Thanks everyone for your patience. The edit is not great but I just wanted to get this out.
BTW the driver is a very old one of unknown brand, maybe Philips. With a new Visaton BG20 or SB Full Range I'm sure I'd get a much better result. On the whole I'm pretty happy with and will continue to develop it. At 700 high and 450 deep its still large. But has a nice mellow sound. Its not suitable for hard rock or metal. Perfect for accoustic, chamber classical, jazz or blues.

Is this truly a Voigt pipe? It looks to me like a horn. Also, the port is smaller than the end of the horn, so the wave is compressed as it exits the box, which sends an interfering wave in the opposite direction. My first suggestion (because it is easy to do) would be to open up the port.

You could be on the money there. I'll try that. Unfortunately the measurement mic was on loan and I was asked to return it, so cannot do more measurements for the moment. BTW I believe a Voigt Pipe is a type of horn.☮️🇦🇺

It makes no sense. With such size it’s better to use headphones. Otherwise just put these drivers into a proper, supposed case: a soundbar.
