Joe and I have much in common and the system I have is very similar to his... My room is much larger and I have a much more elaborate power delivery system to drive my horns. They are all time aligned like Joe's are. If Joe is not aware of it yet he will soon learn that every connection in the wiring path (From AC mains to voice coil) has an effect on what is perceived as the correct time alignment and has a tremendous effect on the resolving power of an audio system like his. Thanks to you a lot of audiophiles have learned a lot from individuals like Joe.

Man, Joe has really covered all the bases. This is without a doubt the most impressive DIY system I have ever seen. I'm sure that it rivals or surpasses most any commercial systems. The low frequency extension of those subs is out of control.

Dt, Bruce was a gem of a person and extremely intelligent, especially when it comes to horn design and use. I would not have my mid bass horn if it wasn't for Bruce !! I will always be grateful for his help. Joe

What an awesome horn system and talent. Home right off an expressway and his room is dead quiet---------genius at work with his hobby and sanity!

Hi, William. Thank you very much for your kind comments !! Before the horn system was even a viable idea, I had to deal with the room.The room can be the most important part of any audio system and can make or break the quality of the sound. It took a lot of time, effort, research, money, and planning trying to keep this problem location quiet. I did succeed, but required a total rebuild of the room. Thanks for watching !!! Joe

@@josephbulger7302 Thank you Joseph! I envy you that you can isolate your room. I have the unfortunate reality of living in an apartment in a 9 story building (top floor) but with only 3 1/2 inches of concrete separating the neighbors below. Impossible to enjoy my system to the fullest. Have you completed your granite turntable? Audiophiles everywhere --- I am sure would like to know!
@josephbulger73024 жыл бұрын
@@williampearson4968 Hi, Bill, I have changed the plinth of the turntable. I wanted to leave it, but was near impossible for me to move it without getting hurt. The naked plinth was 139 lbs. I had a chance to pick up a 2" thick slab of dymondwood (highly compressed veneers and epoxy) then had 2 pieces of 1/2" Corian epoxied on (top and bottom) and had a friend CNC the piece along with the holes. Finished weight is 42.5 lbs. I had some audio people both pro and con for the granite plinth but the weight was the deciding factor. The 4 arm / foot towers are about 10 lbs. each, minus the arm boards. I also have a 3 motor drive system with motor controller from TW Acoustics ready to go. I will have to rearrange the room and get a few pairs of 30' interconnects and speaker cables to install the turntable. I have some arm boards to make and finalizing the tonearms construction. The turntable can run right now with an Technics EPA 500 tonearm I have but is not installed. This virus is slowing down the process.. Hope to make some progress over the winter. Joe

It would be interesting to know about some of Joe's favorite music and about the detail, imaging, sound stage, etc. he achieves. Just imagine Miles or Frank pouring out of that system. Audio Nirvana.
