8-Inch Novascope Geodesic Sphereoscope by David Sugich -- Gadgetify

This is NovaScope: a stained glass geodesic sphereoscope by David Sugich. It creates mesmerizing geometric patterns when exposed to light. You can use it indoors and outside. This 8” Nova kaleidoscope has a 3” triangle base. In this video, we tested it with UV light, POV light wand, RGBAW light, and sunlight.

Someone please tell me how these work. How does the light pass through the front surface mirror? Does David use etching cream on parts of the mirror to allow the light through? I’m stumped, someone please help!

How quickly do these sell out on the website? Like is it super quick / within minutes or hours or days? I just wanna know how “on my game” I need to be when the wait list email is released!

very fast. For instance, in the last batch, there was a "heart" Novascope available for $750 and it sold out in 4 minutes. I timed it. What I do is go there 2 minutes before the time and keep refreshing, as soon as it comes live, I am adding one to cart and paying. That's how I got two of them the last time

I thought these were expensive too and they are but once you see how much effort it takes to make one, I can totally justify the price. But I stick with the cheaper ones. The large 20+ inch versions cost over $1200 sometimes. The neat part is they don't lose value. I have never seen anyone sell theirs for a low price.
