I believe it's a licence thing. The models from Vedros/Black Reach are now available in sets made in partnership with Revell, so afaik they can't be sold individually until that deal ends. Which sucks, because they're glorious models imo.

Jain Zar, the model just looks physically wrong. Those Nurgle models, and the Necrons can be fixed with paint. Then there’s the C’tan shards. I can’t decide if they’re twigs or liquorice sticks.

Come Flight of the Eisenstein we get the introduction of Ignatius Grulgor, first death guard daemon prince of Nurgle, having died in the virus bomb detonation in the hangar earlier returning in the Warp when the Eisenstein's Geller fields broke to confront Garro. That model has history too. Na man, the Dialogus belongs in a museum. Oh she bad, the mouth is just. No, yeah. But the thing is its history. That's where we where. It needs archived. I actually really like Jain Zar. I've one with a replacement right hand painted up as a Succubus for my Dark Eldar. The worst part was definitely getting her to stand up, I had to make a very cunning pinning arrangement through her ballerina foot and attach her to a big resin statue chunk on a giant oversized base.

The flayed ones I think would actually benefit from having extremely understated walking forward poses. This would make them look like they're just slowly and somewhat mindlessly creeping towards you, sort of like zombies. I think that would be a far more creepy pose. Also, if they'd just have straight up some guy's face draped over their skull, that'd add a lot aswell.

Tech Priest Dominus. I love the model, I think it's great but holy crap. I bought 3 starter sets for admech and I have no intention of using Cawl. thats a lot of Dominus with the same hunched back, same cane, same claw hand, maybe a more Popey hat, but it looks the same. When I assembled my 3rd Dominus I threw a fit and sacrificed a Kataphron just so I could stick him on treads, to make them look different. Tech preists are supposed to be entirely different, all more wacky than the last and yet we're stuck with that hunched mono-pose lad with a pope hat. I did forget about the manipulus whilst writing this but Im too lazy to change it all now. Thank you for listening to my Ted Talk

The Biovore!! The Goddamn Tyranid Biovore is an abomination. An ork face on a Tyranid 3rd edition blob. I would always use a Pyrovore as a counts-as instead of that mess. The Deffkoptas - they have a deal with Revell - and a rule about codex are units in GW shop only. So I expect in their deal with Revell (with the much nicer Deffkoptas) they agreed to always support Deffkoptas (that means having their own horrible model in their shop). Personally I would love that they just got the ok from Revell to make an 3-6 unit deffkoptas box (revell version)

If I took over GW right now, I'd prioritize: Noise Marines, Khorne Berserkers, Standard daemon prince, possessed, Ork commandos, Tyranids the red terror, Biovores, every phoenix lord, warp spiders, dark reapers, and fire dragons. Give people the models to play some of the things that sound cool on paper and that they want to play but don't because the models would look foreign to the armies they play. People want to be diverse, and if everything looked amazing and updated they will sell. If people are still buying models even if their old and outdated it's because they love how they work on the tabletop (Berserkers, noise marine, princes), but if they aren't make new models for the least used ones and people will wanna buy them to finally try them out or because they love the artistic side of things.

That "jaws-of-life" servitor dates all the way back to 2nd edition. I had gotten one with a surprise Rapier and instantly thought "WTF is this?" It was horrible on the day it was born.

How do you pick out the nurgle daemon prince as a model that needs to go but not the plastic daemon prince? I'm not a huge fan of the nurgle prince, but the plastic model is WAY worse in every way at everything its trying to accomplish than the nurgle one.

There's a real missed opportunity with the big mouth sister. Sister Nagatha, inspiring women, shouting fear into men. On a 2+, Sister Nagatha shouts "YOU LEFT THE SEAT DOWN!" through her loud speaker. All enemy units within 12 inches must take a leadership test.
