Every time I see something that says 8 Mile, I end up having “Lose Yourself” stuck in my head (come to think of it the day I wrote this comment I randomly heard it on my music app lol) Edit: I’m 99% sure I’ve driven under 8 Mile Road when I visited Detroit in 2022. I vaguely remember seeing a sign for it

Eminem moved around with his mom in northeast Detroit. One of his houses was literally a stone throw from my house....3 blocks south of 8 Mile. He practiced his raps at my high school. The "famous" 8 mile, huh? Lol. 8 Mile was simply the dividing line from Detroit and the northern suburbs. You wanted to be living on the north side of 8 mile...or the Left side of the video.
