Hmm well mostly coz when watercolour dries, its always a lighter thn it is wet, so a lot of times you would have to layer to get the vibrancy that you want. And its much easier to always start light to divide and map out your colours as the base, because you can't really erase watercolour completely or put a lighter colour on top coz its transparent,except if you're using gouache, which is opaque watercolours... Hope this helps xD there are a few reasons.. But I think this is what you're asking abt specifically 😅😅😅

@@Nianiani I do have watercolors, but I don't see any progress.. so I want to know what to do and how.. and I need to understand what I'm doing 💔 but I will try putting layers on each other to see the difference 😀 I don't know why I should understand everything but that's how it works for me 😂💔😂😂

Awww.. No thats perfectly normal to want to know and understand. You should try simple paintings first. The hard thing abt watercolour is actually controlling the water and paint ratio.. And also the wet/damp/dry paper makes a huge impact on how you layer.. Maybe you should try value exercises to see the difference in paint consistencies n things..
