In several areas of the states, drivers have to be alert in stopped traffic and at other stops. Thieves work in pairs or groups. Most commonly, they cause a very minor accident and car jack/rob you if you stop. I personally have had that attempted on me twice last year. In Philly, road rage and random shootings are becoming commonplace. Always be on alert walking or driving.

So many people have so much of a lack of self preservation. If you have people trying to walk out in front of your car to stop you on some back/dark road in the middle of the night, there is a good chance they aren't trying to be friendly. At that point, your vehicle becomes a 10,000+ pound weapon of self defense. Put it in drive and floor it. They'll either get out of the way or become speed bumps.

Doesn't work that way here in U.S. Even if they throw things or block u, u have to "try" to avoid hitting them. If they are a threat to your life then u can hit them to get away if u can't avoid it. I'd rather my car get damaged then go to jail for hitting them. Call the police.

@@FEARNoMore I live out in the middle of nowhere on back country roads where I am looking at 20-30 minutes, or longer, for police to respond to a call. No one should be out there attempting to block the roads for any reason out there and if they are, there is a very high chance of it being for nothing good if they are. I'm not going to go outta my way to deliberately swerve and try to hit them and will try and go around them but I'm not going to slow down if it's clear they are trying to move in front of my vehicle in an attempt to get me to stop. I'll call the police afterwards if I hit them.

I remember in the late 1980s I was going with my dad to his home in New Jersey. I had just gotten my license when we saw a woman stuck on the side of the road at night. My dad decided to help her out, but told me to drive his car away fast if anyone attacked him. In his mind, I had to protect my siblings before helping him out. Nothing happened, but he later said that I should never stop for someone. It would be better to just call the police and stay safe.

I am from Chicago and that is the oldest trick in the book, the smash and grab. I was taught to keep enough space between me and the car in front of me so that I am able to maneuver my vehicle. At the point there were several individuals, let alone one, in masks I would have been planning my escape and deciding which one would have been the victim of vehicular manslaughter. You absolutely need to be aware of your surroundings all the time.

In the 90s, in San Francisco area, I would go out alone. Driving home at night 2 men approached my front windows, one on each side. That was enough for me to feel threatened. I wasn’t about to lower the window and start a conversation. I either ran the light or went through the yellow. Another night, I was suddenly surrounded by 3 cars that weren’t there a few seconds before. People think you’re safe because you’re in the car, but even that pack of roadside Jehovah Witnesses would haunt me for years.

There's been multiple times that camera crews went out to film the crime AND GOT THEIR CAMERAS PULLED OUT OF THEIR HANDS AND THEIR NEWS VANS STOLEN. It's absolutely insane how bad it is. Worked in Detroit from the seventies to the nineties for a utility company. Clips were just an average night in Detroit. I still do not understand half of what I witnessed. Wish they had small cams. back then I could have run clips every week. When I first started I wanted to call the police every five minutes. Coworkers would stop me and tell me the police would not respond if it was not something major. One of the worst things was the end of the month when the wino's had spent all of their money they would have dt's. from withdrawal. There would sometimes be over a dozen people on the ground twitching and convulsing. I was told if I called it in emergency services would have to dispatch all of the EMS vehicles in the downtown area leaving no coverage in the area. Had people robbed ten feet away from where we were working. Did not realize the ticking noise I was hearing was someone shooting at us. Could not hear the gun with the traffic noise. Figured it out quick when we noticed holes appearing in objects around us.

I was driving home late one night in rural Oklahoma and had 3 people in clown masks standing in the middle of the road. I had my Glock 40 that I always carried with me and I had laser sights on it. I shined that laser on the middle one and they screamed "its just a prank " and ripped their masks off and ran out of the road. I showed them my gun as I drove by and said "Not a prank ". Wow, I live in San Diego that borders Mexico and I have seen many things but a large scale ambush like seen in your 1st clip is not something I have seen on this side of the border. My own father drove a large semi truck across the US for a living and he was packing a gun on board and would not have had any problem using the gun or the truck to run people over.
