Modern Nigerian artistes basically repackaged native rhythms using modern musical instruments. Afrobeats is essentially the same rhythm that's played in rural areas of Nigeria with big and small Agogo, the Udu, Shekere, Slit Log Drum, Clap stick, Rhythmic Clapping, Flutes, drums, and other kinds of percussive instruments.
