I always let my friends know because emotions blind us guys when we know theres a chance of a awkward " no thanks", or being turned down. I would say more than 50% of the time I'm successful with women is when one of there friends tells me she likes me. Ir when her friends make excuses for us to dance or go do something together. Then maybe 30% of the time the girl just tells me she's interested. The rest of the time I just go for it and see how she reacts to me.

However, I have some guidelines, like if I'm paying her (bartender, server, barista, clerk, cashier) and she's nice, it's probably her job to be nice. Subtlety is not my thing. When I was younger, I was always "that guy" you know... The one who made all the effort. I texted first. I was so willing to help replace light bulbs or check the oil in her car. I was "the nice guy" stuck in the "friend zone". When a woman was into me, her interest seemed to die out several days to two months into our "hanging out." I used to think it was me and that something was genuinely wrong with me. I now know that it wasn't me but them. I am what some people refer to as "boring." I like to stay home and watch movies or play videogames. I'm not the type that likes to go out all day every day. I'm now 100% ok with who I am and I learned that it's not my job to entertain hyperactive women with ADD and a very short attention span. And if women don't like who I am, that's not my issue. I will not change for anyone and I am very honest right off the bat with what type of man I am. I seek a life of peace, tranquility, serenity and positivity. So this is a work situation and if you have some savvy you know you need to tread carefully or there will be that meeting with HR. Over the course of years (what can I say, risk versus reward) there is enough excited conversation over shared interests and I learn a lot about her and her interests. Find out eventually that she is introverted and shy...and I am thinking, wow, she's really opening up to me. I even get into casually asking about things like whether she likes heels and makeup as somewhat bold qualifiers. BUT...it occurred to me that I initiate most of the conversations. My story is a consistent one, I won't specify the amount of girls I have taken for coffee (I use coffee as a "get to know" session before I advance to more romantic style dates) anyway, the amount of times I am trying to get to know these girls and their answers are non-committal or half arsed, they never compliment "even the successful dates never complimented or touched" I honestly feel like I am talking to a brick wall. Since then for future dates, I will make an emphasis on FaceTime when appropriate because texting can get tricky in my opinion. I went on a date with a girl recently and it went well in my view but I was too into her to notice the signs right away. I did notice those signs like checking her phone in front of me. I felt like I was initiating all the conversations or date ideas. There was a lot of dead silence which I tried to fill by asking her questions. I always mentioned her name in texts and in person but she never mentioned mine once. I got tired of carrying water so I tested her before the second date to see if she even remembered. The date was on Sunday so I texted her on Saturday with a “Hi ‘insert name’ how is your weekend going so far”? Within seconds, the little signal that pops up when someone starts to type shows up but then she didn’t respond. I knew then that it wasn’t going to work. She texted 5 hours later with a generic response like “I’m good, how about you” 😒. So I ignored her until 3 hours before the date on Sunday. She texted to ask how my weekend was going which was strange. In the end she got mad me for her own lack of interest and blocked me from Instagram and blocked my number. She said she was annoyed at me for “cancelling the date” which baffles me but it was best that we went our separate ways. I can’t date a girl who can’t communicate no matter how great I think she is. A lack of communication is the death of any partnership. I’m a kind-hearted, giving and well-mannered person by nature so hopefully I can find a girl that can communicate.
