Great video! I just picked up a bamboo rod and I have a question - I notice you fight the fish with the rod "upside down". With bamboo, does that help prevent the rod from developing a permanent bow/bend in it, or are bamboo rods stronger in that "upside down" orientation compared to today's graphite fly rods?

It helps to prevent a set, but I almost got a set in the wrong direction. So far, so good. A set is repairable, but it is best to avoid in the first place.
