What a way to start the New Year . Really determined strong fighting trout . Here is another thumbs up vote for you but the pansy patrol wont let you see it . Your fly fishing Texas waters is a much needed breath of fresh air . Good show .

Looks like a good trip. Is that the same sinking line you use with the swimming jimmies. It appears to cast pretty good. The sink tips I have tried cast like a cable.

No, this particular line is a Rio Aqualux 4 wt intermediate sinking line. The wind does not blow it around. At 1" per second sink, it is like casting a floating line. For my sink tips, I cut them all back to only 5', per Dave Whitlock, RIP. You will not even know it is a sink tip. Just use a fluorocarbon leader and tippet, and that gives all the sinkness you need. I like Cortland 10' sink tips from Amazon, reasonably priced, also. Just cut off 5'. I put back a Whitlock Zap a Gap loop in the line core, better than the factory loop.
