I wake up every morning, and say a prayer of gratitude. Today, I'm heading out to my weekly morning yoga class. Every day I connect with at least one person, and play in my art studio. At the end of the day, I make a cup of tea, plan my next day, and say a prayer of thanks. Gratitude and humility for all we have is a very powerful affirmation, a good foundation for happiness and contentment. Namaste.🧘‍♀️

Hi Jenn... I know it seems mundane, but I count my blessings. It only takes a minute and instantly makes me feel better. If you do it while standing in sunshine it makes it even better. Thank you for your videos.. There always seems to be something that I can adopt or think on.

Hi Jen. You are incredible. Simple things (with the exception of travel) to boost our moods. I love candles, lots of daylight streaming in the window, going outside feeding the squirrels, birds, bunnies, and deer. Filling the birdbath. I'm lucky to have a big picture window where I can see nature at its finest. Reading a great book, doing a daily workout (walking, weights, etc), and above all, cuddling my 3 kitties. So calming. Having pets reduces stress, increases serotonin and endorphins. Last but not least, everyday, I treat myself to two squares of dark chocolate. Heart healthy, and delicious. ❤❤

Lovely video, Jenn! I too work from home and have a candle on my desk I light when I begin working. The coziness of the scent and the flame help keep me focused at my desk 😊 Other little self-care practices for me are meditating and walking in the woods (my favorite). I am all about that Japanese forest bathing 😌

Oh I love Anne of Green Gables! I remember watching that as a little girl on PBS. New subscriber here, came for the wisdom as I'm turning 50 soon, and also enjoying the content creator videos. I'm just starting mine.

Thanks for the nice suggestions for self-care! I find walking in nature or indoor KZbin walks like Leslie Sansone Walk at Home and Gina B from the channel Up to the Beat Fit dance walks great for self-care! Diane in Denmark on her KZbin channel mentioned in a video called 3 ways I organize our danish home about hygge baskets the idea of having a basket for self-care items and/or snacks! Also Mariane Cresp mentioned in her boost your mood video about creativity and listening to music. I also watched Kennedy from the channel Cozy K, cozy hobbies to try videos. I also thinking baking is a good idea for self-care, I have been watching Bex Keys outseekingrainbows baking videos on her channel. So that is giving motivation for trying new recipes!

Thank you for the self care tips! I Love Anne of Green Gables too! My daughters and I had a tradition of watching it every year on New Year’s Eve. We watched it along with the sequel. It helped us to stay awake until midnight. 🥳 I also love the idea of The Wonder Women pose ~ I am definitely going to do that. ~ Have a great week!

I would also add taking the time to conquer a hard task that may have been put off for a while, is a great boost to one's mental health.

I walk 30 minutes or more each day… mostly for exercise. If I take my dog, it’s just for fun.
