I think I'd like to see a video(s) about how to maximize ice time, whether it's stick and puck or public skate. What skills you focus on, how to prioritize skills, what you do before or after to try and cement any lessons learned

Thank you! I added these to my list.

1. As a goalie myself, I fully despise anyone in my crease.

Being in the crease depends on the rule book you are using. In USAH (Youth or Adult) you are not allowed to stand in there or keep your stick in there. You can skate through it, just can't hangout. However, Federation (High School) and NCAA (College) allows you to be in the crease so long as you do not interfere with the goalie.

I really wish we all followed the same rules! It gets very confusing, especially when people watch the NHL and assume they can do all the same things those players can. Thanks for the clarification!

Do you have any other social media we can follow you on to see how you are doing in your games?

I don't, but I did do another video on a game: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4WrdaGEpp2HeKM

Where did you get the dry erase hockey board? Are those suction cups on it, and do they work? Thanks.
@beginneradulthockey7 ай бұрын
I got mine off amazon, although I do see them at most hockey pro shops. No suction cups - just magnets. That would be a great idea though!

I’m just starting out and was confused on who’s right/left to determine position…goalie is key! It’s THEIR right/left to determine position. This helped me a lot as I just had to look at them. Thank you for the videos!

Side note: One of the greatest players of all time, Mario Lemieux, was not able to tie his own skates due to back injuries later in his career. But every player should be able to put on their own equipment (small kids are kind of the exception), as well as carry their own equipment (small kids are NOT the exception).

I had no idea! Seems crazy he could still play but not tie his skates. Great tips here!

Can’t you just air it out after playing? A fan or an outdoor breeze? Do you really need to use chemicals?
@beginneradulthockey9 ай бұрын
You can! But that smell just never goes away. You will start to learn what the "hockey smell" is :)

Here’s one… please don’t defecate, go #2 or “drop a deuce” in the toilet in the team locker room. Urinating is okay but if you gotta go “drop the kids off at the pool” please do it in the arena’s public restroom or an adjacent empty dressing room. No one on your team wants to smell or hear you doing your business. Same goes for the team bus if you’re ever on a road trip, hold it until the rest stop. 💩🫣
