I used to think the same way as you but found out investing in a good quality shoe or bag or coat that will last for a long time will save you money cuz you wont be buying multiples over the years

If she gonna spend it for the next 4+ years then yes it is not crazy expensive. Of course, your choice of shoes depends on your everyday activities and means of transportation as well. But generally speaking, a good but expensive pair of shoes with long usage is much better than cheaper ones but got thrown out every 3 months.

For people who cannot afford louboutin, I absolutely adore the Sam Edelman Hazel pumps. They come in tons of different colors and patterns and they are just amazing. Inserts sometimes help, but I think it's more about practice. The more you wear them, the easier it gets. They will never be super comfortable so I usually opt for flats when possible ❤️

Go for ones that have thicker heel 😊 they will be more stable and slightly more comfortable...never completely pain-free 😂 gel pads sometimes help as well, but otherwise I agree - flats can be the new comfortable sexy 😂

Speaking from another giraffe (I'm the height of an average male in my country and almost 15cm taller than the average female) - go for it. Buy ones that make you feel like a million bucks but also are comfortable and that you can wear on multiple occasions. Like black ankle boots or sth 😊 then don't slouch, put some music on and own it - if that is what you want but feel like it might be a bit too awkwardfor others. You did not chose your height, nor did your friends. You don't ask them to wear heels so it makes the conversation go easier (joke ladies...too windy for that up here 😉), so why should you feel bad for trying on something? Even shorter ladies don't just wear high heels to be taller - it makes them feel good. If that's what you want - try it. If not, flats are amazing as well. And if anyone tries to comment...well, apparently first high heels were worn by men😉 ps there were also shoes called chopines - were even 50cm tall :D so what is 8 or 10 :p

I have size 4.5 feet and I would love to vary my shoes like this. Most of the time I have to shop in the kids section (size 1-3 depending on the brand). Because I have tiny feet and it's even difficult to find size 5 shoes, let alone 4.5 in womens, I generally go for boots, high tops, or kid shoes. Heels are nearly impossible to find in my size and in 10 years I've only been able to find two pairs. My top necessary shoes are more specifically functional and generally what I was able to find over the years, but totally work for me: 1) exercise shoes 2) high top converse for casual looks 3) work shoes(I have a labor intensive kind of job, so basically something comfy, close-toed, lightweight, durable) 4) fun party looking ankle heels (for fun, flrty, sexy or dressy situations) 5) more everyday high heel boots you can wear to dress up a simple outfit or that you can use in an interview 6) sandles 7) active boots for hiking, taking my dog out, rainy days, just shoes I don't care about getting dirty 8) everyday flat boots that I can just slip on and are super comfortable.
